I have to give it five stars even though in my heart they have none. The linc program helped me. Without having this I probly would have died. I would have lost my daughter due to homelessness and at that point would have killed myself without her. I'd never been so low in my life and Phyllis Padget was my caseworker.she treated me like a friend. Family. Helped me when absolutely nobody or thing was there for me. 2 months homeless. WITH my 3 year old , my car and clothes on our backs. Without her being my greatest and only motivator, mentor, friend, and inspiration I wouldn't have made anything happen. Now I'm a lead production chef at a stadium. Have a 2 bedroom apartment. On the nicer side of kc. And I never gave up.not once. Cause Phyllis was there helping... guiding and inspiring me the whole way. And I took a survey glorifying her. And the vert last sentence I wrote. She's not appreciated enough. And that got twisted into her portraying linc was not good to there employees and after 13 years+ she got fired. And her termination letter said she was terminated because missouri has the right to terminate at will. 13 years. And people you couldn't find a more dedicated. Passionate committed caseworker. There very wrong for this. Morally this is wrong and im very disappointed, upset, and angry about this. Take the one single and only person I had in my life helping keep, physically, mentally, morally, in the right direction. Straight saint of a person. A beautiful person and wreck her world for being super great. . . . . Just wrong. But thank you linc and missouri state for the assistance for ebt struggling families. This was a great experience regardless.
Myself and my child have been involved in the LINC program at Holliday Montessori for four years. We thoroughly enjoyed the program and the diifferent activities offered. The highlight of my childhood afternoon was the interaction with Ms. Hazel at the front desk. My child does not have grandparents and looked at Ms. Hazel as a GRANDMOTHER. The first week of school was wonderful but a little disappointed not to see Ms. Hazel. I told my child I would wait and ask. Will Ms. Hazel be returning to Holliday Montessori, is she at a different school or did she retire?
Just… horrible. Been dealing with them for 2 years trying to get work assistance and other things they advertise to help you with… guess what… they don’t. I can barely get my hands on a gas card despite doing everything they asked me to do. No compassion, no empathy. I just keep getting dismissed, my opinions and feelings do NOT matter, so much so, that I’m HOMELESS again.. and my case manager (who keeps forgetting my phone number) couldn’t even care less unless they are gossiping about you to other case workers at the FEC which is ALSO a deplorable place and shouldn’t exist. They know you’re forced to work with them, and pretend to care, but they’re the most laziest people to get involve with a career where you HELP PEOPLE. They are delusional.
This program is unprofessional.. I can only image how they treat the children because they have absolutely no respect for the parents. They allow parents to disrespect other parents in front of everyone. The president is rude & takes power of authority by threatening your child’s placement if you do not agree with her terms. The staff who works for the program are not trustworthy, they make false reportings and when you do try to explain something to them they disregard with a “it’s our way or the highway” attitude. My child has to go to another elementary school outside or his assigned school to attend this program which is not my choice, but because I need before and after school care due to work, you have to accept the the poorly structured program they have. I tried to use YMCA as a resource but they do not have partnerships with many of the center school district schools. LINC needs to be restructured and their coordinators are properly trained. I am currently trying to find a way to adjust my schedule so that my child can be a car rider and not attend this program but until then, we are stuck with this. I hope they offer more free programs than just LINC for center school district
Great staff! Doing a great work, reaching out to those in need! Overall the staff exhibits knowledge of LincWorks' goals and objectives in a professional and compassionate manner.
