Canterbury Academy At Briarcliff

Moving to Kansas City from another state was quite a transition, especially for my toddler. Adjusting to a new environment wasn’t easy for him, he didn’t like coming to school and would resist being dropped off. Thankfully, Tiffany and Kristen have been incredibly supportive and welcoming. Their cheerful presence and willingness to assist have made it so much easier for me to leave my son in their care each day. My son is in the Australia classroom, where he is guided by Miss Charli and Miss Olivia. They are both so kind to him and make a genuine effort to ensure he feels comfortable and safe in his new school setting. Overall, I’m truly happy to have found Canterbury. It’s been a wonderful place for my son to begin this new chapter, and I appreciate the warm, caring environment the staff has created.

We have been at Canterbury for four months and my two year old daughter LOVES it! The facility is always very clean. The communication between parents and teachers is wonderful. We are thrilled with the sensory and art projects we see our daughter doing. We are so happy to see the balance between learning time and play time. Canterbury is helping our daughter learn and grow. I highly recommend Canterbury Academy at Briarcliff.

Our family moved here from NC about 8 months ago. We looked at a few daycare options and luckily Canterbury Academy had an opening. We were happy with our previous daycare, but Canterbury has exceeded our expectations. The class sizes are great, the curriculum keeps our daughter engaged and excited to come each day, and everyone from the director on down really seem to care about the children. My wife and I had noticed that the food options weren’t as good as our previous daycare, but recently a new chef was hired and the food options are now the best we’ve seen anywhere. All things considered, we couldn’t be happier with Canterbury Academy.

EXCELLENT - My family & I recently relocated to KC a few months back. Choosing the right daycare for our 2-year old is just one hectic part of moving in general, but by far the most-important. We checked a few high-reviewed options out, but felt most comfortable with the staff & setup at Canterbury. Safe to say, after four months we could not be more pleased. He loves his teachers (Ms. Tya & Ms. Taylor), and comes home with new art all the time. He is learning new words, and clearly has developed faster at Canterbury than any previous daycare/school. He rarely has an incident report, and is genuinely excited to get to school each day - Ms. Martha & Ms. Judy are always happy to see him arrive! We get constant updates each day on the school app, and the school is incredibly clean & well-kept for a daycare. You never see Canterbury have an "off-day", be it the facilities or the teachers, who always display incredible patience. Ms. Susan & Ms. Megan run an incredible program at Canterbury - I have seen them bring treats to their staff multiple times, as they keep tabs on them during the day to keep them working at their best. Susan & Megan treat us like family, just as they do my son, and my son is better at home thanks to their care during the day.

Both of our children attend Canterbury, with our newest addition just starting at the beginning of the year. The child development curriculum has proven to be very adaptable and beneficial for our oldest, 4yo, and the care toward our infant's routines has just reiterated why we place our trust in the kind and professional staff at Canterbury. Our family has experienced great attention toward our children's care and if there has been an issue, such was addressed with the teacher and director immediately, re-emphasizing they truly do care about our children's safety AND development. There is no greater recommendation I'm able to provide than to inform you both of our children continually attend Canterbury Academy.
