Greater Horizons Academy

Greater Horizons Academy holds a special place in my heart. Both of my children attended VPK there, and I witnessed firsthand the genuine care and dedication that the preschool teachers, director, and staff have for each child's growth and development. The quality of education they provide is truly remarkable. The teachers are incredibly attentive, taking the time to ensure that every child feels understood and supported in their learning journey. I’m particularly proud of my sons, who is now in elementary school. Thanks to the nurturing environment at Greater Horizons, he confidently recognizes his letters, shapes, and numbers—foundational skills that were cultivated during his preschool years. While I firmly believe that learning starts at home, the solid groundwork laid in preschool is absolutely essential. When my children moved on to elementary school, their teacher was genuinely impressed by my son's ability to write his name and recognize letters, numbers, and shapes. I owe much of this to the outstanding educators at Greater Horizons Academy, who have made such a positive impact on our lives.

I have 2 kids. My oldest is 18yrs old and the other one is 2yrs. Before he attended this school he wasn't speaking and I was afraid to put him in school when he can't even communicate to anybody. Before he attended this school he never bit anyone or spit on anyone, he learn it at this school from the other student. Many times I was told that he was having behavioral issues. As a parent I started taking him to therapy and getting help for his behavior. On 10/18/2023 they called me at work to pick my son up because he was misbehaving. I had to missed 6hrs of work. Later that day I called to see what actions are being taking Miss Claudine said she will have the director call me back. I haven't received any calls back or messages regarding the issue. The next morning I got him ready and they said they will not accept him causing me to miss work again. If you have a kid that have any behavior issues don't bother taking them to this school. Plus they are very unprofessional. If your kid is good they will learn bad behavior here. I do not recommend this school at all. The owner just replied and totally is lying. I never spoke to the owner. The day they called me to come pick up my child I couldn't stay because I had to rush to take my son to my relative's house and go right back to work. The same day after work I called them to ask them what actions are being taken for my son. Miss Claudine said she will have the owner call me back. No one called me back hence why I brought my son back the NEXT day. It is at that moment that they said they were not accepting him, and the owner will meet with me. Why didn't they contact me the day of so that I could make proper arrangements for my son so that I can go to work. This owner is a liar and is very unprofessional. All he cares about is money not your kids. Someone who states that they are not concern with receiving 5 stars rating is not interested in providing great customer services. Word of mouth is the BEST form of advertising. Ask anyone!!

My kids have been here since August and I love the staff, the environment. Ms. Diana is great with my kids and for the kids in aftercare they make sure they do their homework !

The owner, the staff, everything here is exceptional they truly care for the kids.

Very rude and very unprofessional staff . I have never been to a childcare center that I can just walk into a classroom nobody was at the desk the 3 times that I came to pick up my niece they wouldn’t know if I were a kidnapper or not because they didn’t do the protocol for the job. When I tried to address this issue I was approached by a staff who had a bad attitude and bogus information about how they run their facility . If you care for your loved ones and your freedom as much as I do I honestly don’t recommend “Greater Horizons “
