What Parents Say
This is a highly-rated YMCA facility in Burlington that offers member childcare services alongside gym amenities. Parents praise the modern, clean facility with excellent equipment, pool, and fitness classes. The childcare service is highlighted as enabling parents to exercise while their children are cared for.
This place is a Burlington gem. The member childcare is a total game-changer—it’s the only reason I’ve seen the inside of a gym since having kids. The staff is lovely, the equipment is top-tier, and the wellness floor feels welcoming to people of all fitness levels. My kids also love the family swim and family rec!
This is a lovely Y facility with lots of group class options, a pool, and a large weight room area. Unlike a lot of other Y’s I’ve been to, the building is relatively new. The parking lot is a bit small, so you may need to park on the street. I take public transit there.
Lovely facility! Great for swimming, weights, basketball, sauna, pickleball and workout classes. I especially enjoy the HIIT classes and childcare while I workout with my wife. Only problem is parking so if you can walk, Uber, carpool or take a bus I’d suggest doing that instead of hoping for a spot.
The best gym in Burlington Prices are perfect Central to everything Sauna, pool all the gym equipment and free weights you need for getting yourself in shape.
We’ve had a very disappointing experience at the Burlington YMCA. I signed up my daughter for swim lessons, which was difficult enough due to high demand. But on two separate occasions, we drove from Colchester only to find that no instructor showed up—and worse, there was zero communication from the YMCA about these cancellations. Despite following up with the swim instructor supervisor and a senior customer service person—multiple phone calls and emails—I received no response at all. The lack of accountability and communication is incredibly frustrating, especially given how expensive the program is. Parking is another huge issue—it’s consistently a nightmare to find a spot. On top of all that, the communal showers in the swim area are dirty and often neglected. Even on a Saturday morning at 10 a.m., they’re visibly unclean. For what you’re paying, the experience falls far below expectations. Definitely not what I’d expect from a community-focused organization. Would not recommend.
