I came here for my birthday breakfast. The staff were wonderful, personable, charming, the kinda people you’d want to be surrounded by ☺️ My Grama just passed away like less than 48 hours ago, and this place felt like going home to Grama’s. From the people to the food and definitely the atmosphere. My Grama always made my birthday breakfast special…. Definitely a stamp of approval from me, and I know my Grama would have loved it here. So stamp of approval from a foodie Grama! Thank you so much for my birthday cinnamon roll! 🤤
I was visiting Seaside for a weekend getaway this weekend and found this gem of a family-owned restaurant. It's pretty cute and cheesy and cozy on the inside, but it all works. There's not much seating, which, in my opinion makes it better. The wait time was worth it (15 mins?). Betty was super super nice and just gives you the grandma/ awesome aunt vibe -she's genuine and kind! I had the corned beef hash, and upon Betty's recommendation, I opted for the country gravy on biscuits as a side... I'd say what I said upon tasting the gravy, but it would be offensive here. IT WAS LIFE CHANGING! I'm not being dramatic, nor is it insane to call it a masterpiece, perfection, or whatever else you may think of as superlatives. Remember that scene in Ratatouille when Ego tastes Remy's Ratatouille for the first time and his mind went to a fond childhood memory? This is that gravy in real life!! My hash was amazing too. The corned beef is clearly home-made as well. My other half ordered a ham and cheese stuffed omellette.. That was divine! Why? The ham was juicy and not salty - the flavors were enough, but did not overwhelm the eggs. As a parting gift, I asked for a container of the gravy and got all but 2 of the crinkle cookies.. My gawd... I'm diabetic, but holy Crack balls batman... best damn cookies out of a breakfast restaurant I've ever had?! Moist and chewy and full of flavor. Even my diabetes said "Thank you for that!". Come check this place out when you're in Seaside. Or just drive to Seaside for this gem of a place. You'll sit there and just be.
Visiting town from Seattle area for wife's bday weekend and had late breakfast here on our way out of town after fun morning on the beach. Everyone was so incredibly nice, and the food! We had combo 1 and 4. Scramble eggs were perfectly fluffy and tasty, the waffle was fluffy, insanely delicious, and the same for the french toast. The hash browns were thinner, NOT just a heaping pile of soft grease moosh, so they were the perfect amount of crispy. They let us sub the hash browns instead of meat at no cost which was nice. Hot coco had dense amazing whip creme, food got out quickly, staff are so attentive and prices were very reasonable. It literally felt like a wonderful breakfast experience at my grandma's as a child. We even got a wonderful homemade chocolate chip cookie made by Iris for my wife's bday. Such a wonderful experience. Thank you so much!
Food was excellent. Was pleasantly surprised to find they didn't have your standard restaurant coffee it actually was great. The hostess was really great making sure you always had what you needed and the food and portions were great
We loved this place. We were headed out of town and stopped for a quick breakfast. I love they have an extensive light fare, senior, and child's menu. It is family owned and cozy. When I asked if they had sausage gravy, they answered yes but warned me it had bacon in it, too. Yes, mam, load me up. Delicious!!!
