What Parents Say
Golden Age Learning Center receives mostly positive reviews praising its warm, family-oriented environment and caring staff with low turnover. However, two negative reviews raise serious concerns about inappropriate discipline methods, physical abuse incidents, and staff dismissal of safety issues.
Our children have gone here for over a year now based on recommendations from other parent friends. We moved to the area and checked out 3-4 places, but this place kept coming up in conversations for those that have lived in the area and have tried out other daycares. First, the place is smaller, more personal and family-feeling. The owner is not the type that manages from afar from an office. Her sleeves are rolled up and she's actively participating in the child care to ensure they are given the best possible treatment. The caretakers are kind, nurturing, and sincerely care about the children. We have real relationships with the caretakers as we as well the other parents who have kids here. One more note, there is very little staff turnover unlike the other area care centers. This is usually a sign of a good establishment. Highly recommended.
Parents Beware! I am deeply disappointed with the care provided by Yaritza. On multiple occasions, she resorted to showing our son the Babadook monster in order to induce fear and make him sleep. This method of manipulation and intimidation is highly inappropriate and harmful to a child's well-being. We immediately decided to remove our son from her care. Furthermore, when we addressed these concerns with the director, she dismissed the Babadook claims without much consideration. However, she did acknowledge the presence of physical abuse and attributed it to a lack of training among the staff. The director admitted that the teachers would sometimes grab the children too aggressively, going against their trained method of bear hugs. The one incident that truly brought the issue to our attention was when our son came home with scratch marks in his bicep area on both arms. He informed us that his teacher, Yaritza, was responsible for causing these marks. It was only when we presented the facts and images of the injuries that the director finally admitted to being aware of the issue. Childcare providers should prioritize the safety and emotional well-being of the children under their care. It is crucial that they create a nurturing and supportive environment, free from any form of physical or emotional harm. I hope that this review serves as a warning to other parents considering Yaritza's services and that the necessary steps are taken to address the issues and ensure the well-being of the children in this facility.
KGA is by far the best daycare a parent can ask for. They are loving, thoughtful; communicative and go above and beyond for their families. Both of my children have gone there and I will be sad when they graduate. Enough can't be said about what a positive experience KGA has been.
Warm nurturing environment with teachers who care deeply about the children. Individualized attention and care. My daughter loves coming here each day and I feel confident that she is is under the best care and supervision.
Highly recommended! Very clean, staff is friendly and caring. My 3 years old son loves coming here and he has learned many things. They have different activities for the kids.
