My daughter attended GBH since she was only 4 months old and now that she is no longer a student there I feel I can freely share my experience without my daughter being targeted for the issues the adults in that facility seem to have had with me. The Director of GBH chooses favorites and protects teachers who shouldn’t be protected. My two year old would cry for nap time and there was an incident in which a teacher from another room came and literally yelled at my two year old to stop crying. I called to schedule a meeting with said teacher and the director and of course the meeting never happened because the Director doesn’t know how to properly communicate with parents. My daughter had shown to be scared of her first set of teachers and then was later moved to Ms. Andrea and Ms. Alicia’s classroom where they made her feel welcome and loved (unfortunately the center has lost these two teachers but they are the only reason I’m even giving this place the stars I am.) My husband and I reached out to board members such as Bonnie Ortega and Mary Lambert to address the issues we were having at the daycare with both of them overlooking every complaint we had, we never heard from them and they never once checked in to make sure our daughter was no longer experiencing issues with her teachers and the director. I would get called from work very often claiming my daughter was sick with a fever and every time we would take her to the doctor the doctors would never find anything wrong with her and this was a course of SEVERAL visits not just one. Please send your children where teachers and staff value your kids because this place does not and when you try to take it to the board the board just throws it under the table. Sad excuse for a child care center. The children deserve better and I’m sure the State would agree,

My infant attends Gingerbread House, and he loves it there. He gets all excited whenever we walk up to the door because he loves to see his teachers and his friends. I highly recommend this place, you can trust the teachers, they really care about the kids.
