Generations Crossing is a unique and special community nestled in the Shenandoah Mountains. This beautiful, stimulating, loving and compassionate community provides Adult Day Services and Childcare Services (infants to kindergarten) under the same roof! The supportive and dedicated teachers, health care professionals, staff and volunteers invite social, physical, intellectual, and emotional well-being for all participants. It is an honor to serve and connect the generations through Inter-generational Music Therapy Programs to facilitate academic development, learning and maintain the highest level of independence for all participants. As someone who works in the world of child development, I could not be more impressed with the staff and care provided at Generations Crossing. This team is genuinely invested in the well-being of my children. They communicate well, are professional and well-trained, and care deeply about making sure children are not just safe, learning, and well cared for, but that they have fun too. The provided meals, sibling discounts, and opportunity for afterschool/summer care are benefits that our last center did not have, and they make a big difference for our family.
The staff and educators at Generations Crossing have been kind, competent, and caring with both of my children. Daily communication is clear and easy through their app-- such a relief for parents, especially when being able to see a baby's feeding/sleeping logged in real time! The activities are age appropriate, and it's neat that children have weekly structured group time together with the adults. SUCH a huge "plus" (if you happen to be reading this and are debating between several daycare centers) is that Generations provides meals (or formula/milk) and snacks included in their tuition! I love not needing to pack my children's lunches. I look at their menu (catered by Hank's BBQ) and am jealous sometimes. :-) There is a reason that Generations Crossing has such a great reputation; I strongly recommend them to anyone looking for childcare.
Generations Crossing is an amazing program! My husband and I have personally seen first hand how their program prepared our daughter to transition into school. They created such a strong foundation for her. The teachers are more like family and provide excellent care. We are thankful for our daughter’s experience!
