Funland Before & After School Program

This center is very deceiving. They will assist you every part of the way to make you think they are enrolling a student into the camp just to find out there spot has been already taken. They seem not to communicate or want to resolve the matter. It toke me 3 weeks to finally find a place and there response was my apology your spot is no longer available with no prior notice…Nothing! They are money hungry and also go by a first come first serve in which I was never told of anything. They do not hold accountability whatsoever both director Stephanie Rivera nor the regional manager.

Mr.Marquis who works all year around has put a big impact on my son and has built a bond with my son he talks about him all the time and how fun he is as a teacher… Mr.Marcus who has joined for the summer has also put a big impact on my son.. my son really enjoyed having him as a teacher and we hope he will return next summer.. Ms.Stephanie has built a bond with my son from day one he has become very close with her she is always there for him when he’s having a hard time.. The staff is AMAZING!! I appreciate everyone who has put in the effort to work with my son who can be a handful at time.. My son really enjoys attending the Boys & Girls Club 😊😊😊

I strongly advise against sending your kids to this place. The majority of the staff is incredibly rude and disrespectful to children, and they lack the basic decency you'd expect from professionals working with kids. In particular, Miss Tameka is a major concern. She should not be around children at all. My kids have witnessed her falling asleep on the job multiple times while she was supposed to be supervising the kids. On top of that, she's constantly on her phone, showing complete disregard for her responsibilities. To make matters worse, she has the nastiest attitude I've ever encountered. Her demeanor is hostile, and she acts as if she doesn't care about the children or their well-being. It's unacceptable that someone with such a poor attitude is entrusted with the care of young children. I would never recommend this place to anyone who values their child's safety and well-being.

Years ago I went into this Boys and Girls club and it was total chaos. As I waited for someone to help me. I concluded that I did not want my children going there. But under the new director. I have noticed a Huge change. The club is more organized. The children are not all over the club running a muck. There is structure. There are activites to keep students occupied after school. Children are seperated appropriately by age. I am Aldo happy with the athletic activities they offer. They recently remodeled the teen after school area and just from what I saw. These teens were smiling, enjoying themselves. There was plenty to do and a plethora of activities to choose from. I didn't see teens with their faces in their phones. They were up and active! I recommend the Boys and Girls Club to parents looking to keep their child active.

Very disorganized and their summer camp hires inexperienced college students that are immature and blame others for their mistakes. Don't send your kids here for summer.
