Friends School is a truly special place that fosters a deep sense of community while nurturing young minds. The teachers are all exceptional and care for the students in a way far exceeds a traditional standard. Both our children have attended the program and we have seen tremendous growth and emotional development during their time at the school. Ms Amanda leads from the front having recruited, and importantly retained, a wonderful faculty who embrace play based learning in a natural environment. What stands out most to me is the creativity that this setting inspired in our children, you can see their minds expanding as they begin to develop a life long love of learning. The families you find at Friends care deeply about one another and the community leading to warm personal friendships outside of the school as well.
Very disappointing experience. We signed up for two weeks, but the camp only allowed my child to attend one week and refused the following week. Parents trust a camp not only to take care of children but also to act with honesty and reasonable flexibility. Unfortunately, this camp failed on both. I would not recommend Friends Neighbour Nature School to other families.
I would give this school 10 stars if I could. Sending my child to this school was the best decision we ever made. The school really fosters a sense of community. The teachers are so warm and nurturing, and they really get to know your children, almost to the T. My child looks forward to school every day and even loves Mondays! The projects she comes home with are so unique and nothing like I’ve seen before at other schools. I love hearing stories of her day at school and all of the interesting things she learned and played with. My child has developed so much since attending the school, and her imagination has skyrocketed. If you’re looking for a preschool for your child, you really should visit this school.
FNNS is an amazing school! Sending our daughter there was one of the best decisions we have ever made. The teachers are extremely supportive and nurturing. We LOVE their nature-friendly outdoor classroom. We also love that learning is student centered and play-based. We have seen a lot of growth in our daughter academically, socially, and emotionally over the last 2 years. FNNS is truly a special place!
Our time at Friends was awesome! Our son attended for about 3 years up until this past June. Their play-based approach is spot-on, the teachers are top-notch, always kind and truly get kids. Moving on to Kindergarten now, but we're super grateful for the fun and growth he experienced here. Two thumbs up! 👍👍
