Our son started in the 3's class this past fall and we're very happy with our experience. There's a teacher and 2 assistants in his class, which is great. Our son has had some separation anxiety, and we're comforted knowing there is always someone available to comfort and give him the extra attention he needs. The teachers are warm and patient. We love that his time is filled with not only being taught the basics -- ABC's, numbers, reading, etc. but that they seem to do creative art projects daily, PLUS each day includes a special -- Library, Gym and Music. As someone who just moved into Ridgewood, it's nice that the board plans so many out-of-school activities that allow families and children to bond beyond the classroom. We highly recommend the Ridgewood Co-Op!
I cannot recommend this Co-op enough! It is truly a special place. The teachers are wonderful and the play-based learning has helped my daughter thrive, she will be more than ready for Kindergarten next year. The sense of community among the families is a wonderful plus as well! We love the Ridgewood Co-op!
This is my daughter's first year in school, and I am very impressed by the teachers and staff at the Ridgewood Co-op. I appreciate the play-based education; my daughter has the ability to be a kid, while intrinsically learning new things from kind, supportive, and highly experienced teachers! And as a parent I feel that school certainly has cultivated a sense of community. It takes a village to raise a child, and I am glad that that village we have introduced our daughter to has been the Cooperative Nursery School of Ridgewood.
The co-op has provided a loving, supportive and fun, play-based environment for my kids to learn and grow socially. They constantly ask if it is a “school day”. We also enjoy the family events and have made friends with a number of other families at the school. You truly feel like you are part of a community at the co-op!
The co-op nursery school has been the best choice we made since moving to the area. My son, now in kinder, thrived with the warm, caring staff and well thought out curriculum, balanced with plenty of play time. He graduated more than prepared both academically and socially. I have a daughter now in the 3's class and another who will be going in a few years! Between meeting friends (both for moms and kids!) and the awesome events and caring community you can bring your kids knowing they are cared for like they are the teachers own. Would recommend 1000%.
