I wasn't visiting the church frequently. But for my kid, we have been there for the Easter egg hunt. Volunteers are very polite and helpful. My son thoroughly enjoyed the event which was conducted by the church.
We just visited Franklin First UMC for the first time -- the first church we've visited since recently moving to Franklin. I don't think we've ever received such a warm, genuine welcome from folks at any church like we did here. A sweet gentleman sitting behind us at worship offered to give us a tour -- which ended up taking 15 minutes out of his morning after worship was over (on Father's Day nonetheless!) and included showing my daughter where her Vacation Bible School class would be meeting (putting her at ease!). We look forward to another visit and may just have found our new "church home"!
Bryan Brooks is the new senior pastor at Franklin's First Church. He is thoughtful and dynamic. If you are interested in God's word, you will find a good dose of it here. The new and improved music ministry is a real and worshipful inspiration. This is a good church community that serves as the hands and feet of Jesus Christ. They had a sensory issues visit with Santa today. It was beautiful. Our 7 year old autistic son (who is two handfuls) had a perfect experience. He is very active, Santa adjusted to him instantly. Dylan (our son) was very excited to see Santa but, over stimulated. Santa was very patient and softly addressed Dylan as he ran screaming around the room. When Dylan gained a little composure (with the amazing help of the church elves) he sat on the floor near Santa. St. Nick got down on the floor and layed down with our son and had their visit on Dylan's terms. It was so loving and caring. Dylan was very happy. We were so grateful for this. This is a good place.
The newer church buildings off of Mack Hatcher are clean with large rooms ready for different classes. They have land to plant their gardens where they grow the veggies to give away to the needy in the Williamson County community. Great Christ-Centered message is shared at this church.
