I have three girls, and all of them have gone through preschool at Fountain of Youth. When my oldest was born we were had her at a preschool in Jenkintown and briefly after that one in Roslyn. Both of those schools were really good, but Fountain Youth was a better fit for us. It is located in one of the old McKinley elementary building now the Ukrainian cultural center. Germaine, an ex head start veteran teacher is amazing as are the rest of the staff. The place is big enough for kids to get socialized but their capacity is small enough that allows them to cultivate real one on one meaningful relationships with the kids. I trust them with my girls, not just because they are certified excellent teachers, but because I know they love my kids and my kids love them. Fountain of Youth makes you a part of their family. The kids learn through play, experimentation, exploration, music, art and genuine dedication to cultivating the kids creativity. The class is always super diverse, with little ones of all backgrounds enrolling in their program.They are on over an acre of land, the kids can ride their little bikes and pedal cars, play sports, there’s even a tiny little slope they pull sleds down when it snows. They balance the inside time with getting out in nature, something most preschools in the area are unable to accomplish. If I could give them ten stars I would, my youngest is still there, and has a couple more years to go. I tell everyone I meet with little ones, that this is the spot. A hidden gem in Abington!
When we moved from the city we were so upset to leave the childcare center we were using. We thought we would never find a place so wonderful that truly felt like home for our two girls. We did though. It was at fountain of youth that we found a new family. This place is truly one of the best in my opinion. Mr. Jonlhn and Ms. Germaine are the best. I love them like family and consider our family lucky to have found fountain of youth.
Children play, learn, socialize, in warm loving authentic homey environment. Germaine Fountain is a master teacher teaching the teachable moments. Children and staff grow close, this healthy connection results in a truly valuable start to a child's love of learning and school.
Mr. John and Sweet G were awesome!! Small, family like experience, where everyone looks out for each other. My daughter loved them and they loved her! Highly recommend their program.
