We love FELC! We are on the waiting list for a few weeks before my daughter started shortly after turning one. I was nervous about her transition into daycare but thanks to the amazing staff she got into a routine and is doing great. We love the teachers and I know my daughter is well taken care of. They send me updates and pictures on the app which is great and I appreciate. She loves seeing her teachers and friends everyday. We are so glad to be here.

They create exceptional learning opportunities that are not only fun but help the children develop intellectually, socially, and emotionally. My husband and I are very pleased with the care our son receives at Foundations. His transition to daycare was somewhat difficult but his teachers loved him and us right through it. He is thriving there and we love to see how excited he is to see his teachers and buddies each day. Even though he is only in the infant class, I can already tell that he is learning both life and social skills. I truly appreciate that his teachers take such an active interest in his life and his development. The entire staff is so friendly and welcoming. So many of the staff know my son's name, even though they are not primary teachers in his classroom. I love the Foundations app that allows me to see how things are going for him during the day. It is such a comforting feeling each day to know that your child is truly cared for, and that is what we have found at Foundations. I highly recommend it to others seeking childcare in Winston Salem!
I have been very pleased with Foundations Early Learning Center-Poplar St. location. The staff and teachers have made my daughters transition to daycare very smooth and enjoyable. She is learning and developing more and more each day. Just last night she was home singing new songs she had learned in class and at Chapel. Everyone is always very friendly and I can come to work with confidence that my daughter is safe and well taken care of each day. As a single mom it is very important to me to have reliable and safe childcare. Now that my daughter is here I am able to work with a peace of mind. I would and will continue to refer people to their center.
We switched our two kids to this school (Poplar Street, W-S) in August 2023 after they were at another daycare from when they were babies. It has been a wonderful change and I have seen both our kids flourish! I wish we would have made the change sooner. The director, Tamara, is great! She is so kind and really looks after all of the kids. Mrs. Gerber and Ms. Jennifer from pre-k class has been incredible, my son has learned so much and loves her class. Ms. Cynthia and Ms. Haveela from Step Up class are also amazing. My 2 year old loves them and they do a lot of fun activities for the kids and invite the parents to participate in events throughout the year. Would give the facility and staff 10 stars if I could!
