What Parents Say
FIT FOR KIDS TOO receives mixed reviews, with recent parents praising the staff's kindness, flexible hours, and affordable pricing ($6/hour), while older reviews raise concerns about safety supervision and staff responsiveness to behavioral issues. Current parents appreciate the convenient drop-off/pick-up system and detailed daily reports, though some note the facility appears dated with limited amenities.
I went there as a toddler (3-6 years old or so) and I’m 18 now. I remember not being fed throughout the day, the staff would let the children fight, and there were multiple occasions that my younger sister and I would go home with bite marks on our arms and legs with “no explanation” from staff. The children were biting each other as the staff watched on. Of course, I’m sure Fit For Kids has changed within the last 13 years. However, I just want to let people know that this is something I remember about an organization that happened to me over a decade ago. I would advise against placing your child here, but I would also say to do your own research!
Everyone there seems really nice. My son didn't want to leave and that's always a great sign. Employees are attentive and focused. Only giving 3 stars because it seems a tad dark and cold to me. Concrete floors which is very odd. They do have large rugs. Also could use alot more toys in the 3 to 4 year old room, but for $6 an hour, you can't beat it. In Houston my sons childcare costs $15/hr or $1,500/month so this is a steal.
Convenience and quick drop off/pick up. Never had a problem with them. You can drop off your child and pick them up at any time and they provide you with a slip of paper that details the day for your child. Since mine is an infant, it shows if they were wet or had a BO and when they ate etc etc. The building is a little dated and some of the tiles are removed from the infant section by the sink but the floor looked clean regardless. Price isn't that bad and the ladies are always willing to answer your questions.
Not at all what it use to be. If you need somewhere cheap then it's fine but I would go elsewhere if you're looking for care on a regular basis especially if you have a toddler. My son cried on his first day (which is normal for a toddler) and the staff literally told me to try somewhere else because "a crying baby is a disruption to the others" Which I can understand but they said it as if no other baby has ever cried before. It's a daycare, babies cry. On top of all of that, it was only his first day! Thankfully I took the advice and found somewhere where my child is much happier and thriving.
Best childcare I have ever used! They are very convenient and the hours are the best. All of the staff is exceptional and Loretta is so very kind hearted. I feel like the staff there is family.
