First United Methodist Church in Rainbow City operates a preschool program within a religious facility. Parents praise the church's welcoming community and children's programs, but the facility permanently closed its preschool with minimal notice, causing significant hardship for families.
When our preschool closed, we did all we could to notify everyone as early as possible. We were having a huge issue keeping enough staff to safely look after the children. Therefore, we felt closing was the only ethically correct decision to make. We sincerely apologize for the hardship it placed on all involved.
I was looking for a church home, being raised a baptist, I was looking for a Baptist Church. I was not happy with any of the churches I attended. My daughter came here to the 1st United Methodist Church of Rainbow city a few times and thought I might enjoy it. From the first time I attended this church I knew without a doubt ,this was where I belonged. I love the friendliness of the people, the actions they take to help the community. I have learned so much here about a loving God. Everyone is so accepting . This is great great church to attend. If you are looking for a church please visit us. This church is growing!
I was invited to this church by a couple of members whom I met at the YMCA water aerobics class. I was welcomed by open arms in the Crossroads service, the women`s Sunday School class and the Live Love Circle. I have been attending here since 2008 and the love and concern of the members here is amazing, much better than any other church I have attended. Now I attend the traditional service since I have moved 25 miles away from the church - it is hard to get up early enough for the early service, but I would not go to another church because my church family is here.
I am sorry you felt ignored in your time of need. That is truly not who we are. My grown children were looking for a church home while dating and found RBC Methodist the most warm loving Christian group of people you could ask for. They were married in this church and have had two precious children in the six years since. They say it takes a village to raise a child and their 4 year old and 20 month old certainly have a loving Christian village. We have seen first hand God working in my son since being a part of this church and its love. My husband and I followed them to RBC Methodist and am so glad we did. There are so many examples of the Christian goodness found here that I could write for days but I won't just come visit us and experience God's goodness grace and love first hand.
We are so blessed to be apart of such a loving church family...God continues to work thru Pastor Dee as he preaches God's word. With 2 services to choose from ...contemporary and traditional the outreach will continue to grow God's church. Come visit today and allow the love of our church bless you.
