First Step Preschool

First Step Preschool is an excellent preschool program. The facility is very clean. The teachers are loving and organized. The entire staff takes personal pride in providing consistent care to our children. My child has only been there one month, however, I have seen tremendous progress in her ability to listen, follow directions and engage in the active learning that takes place at First Step on a daily basis. I recommend this Preschool whole-heartedly!

My 8 week old daughter started there February 18th of this year, in the beginning everything seemed fine but then I started to realize that this daycare is under staffed and ALWAYS have different ladies watching the kids throughout the day. There is no communication between them on when baby was changed or fed they have logs but seem to forget to write down times. I have them log and follow a pace feeding schedule since my daughter is breast fed and the ladies always said the same times every day so the information I seem was not correct. This past Monday when I went in my daughter was in an umbrella stroller in with bigger kids, one kid was in her face, one hold her hand and the other doing pop a wheelies with the stroller and she wasn't even buckled in or was an adult present. Then on Tuesday I walk in and my daughter is in her crib with the bow over her face, I get her things and leave only to get home and realize she was not fed after 12 pm it was now 630pm. I went back the next morning to find the bottle in the fridge from the 4 PM feeding. I talked to Mrs. Eddy and all I heard was a bunch of excuses and blame placed on the other ladies saying they didn't communicate to one another. At the end of the day all that matters is that my child was not fed, if this is happening to my child what's happening to yours ask yourself that before placing your child in this daycare.
