First School Of The Desert-La Quinta

We definitely recommend First School La Quinta. Both my son and daughter enjoyed going every day. Ms. Yatsiri is a great teacher and was very kind, patience and helped my 2 year old daughter learn so much. My daughter would come home and she tell me her numbers and alphabets. Ms. Yatsiri is very communicative with me, which made me feel at ease knowing my daughter is in good hands. I hope my youngest daughter will be able to enjoy her time with Ms Yatsiri. My son loved Ms Maria in room 4!. She taught him how to write his name, numbers and letters!. Every morning he would be very excited to see Ms Maria as she is very kind and gentle with her students. Going into her class I felt she was really involved in teaching the kids and getting them ready for kindergarten. I feel confident in my son transition into kindergarten because of Miss Maria.

Both of my sons attend First School and they love it. It's definitely convenient because of their hours of operation since my husband and I work completely different schedules. Ms. Chantal in Room 4 is amazing! Both of the boys have had her as a teacher and they are always telling me how nice she is. She is friendly, patient, funny, and caring. You can tell that she wants the best for all of her students. The school is always putting on fun activities and recently have begun to do "in school" field trips. The kids love it. Ms. Olivia and Ms. Rae at the front desk are extremely considerate and helpful too. In a little over a year we plan to have our youngest attend and hope to have Ms. Karina in the infant room. She is awesome at helping the little ones transition into the school. I definitely recommend the school. I think they help prepare our little ones for Kindergarten and make it a fun learning environment when our littles have to be away from home for so long.

We love First School! Miss Nicole and Miss Maria go out of their way to make our little girl feel like she is at home as soon as she arrives every day! They are at the door waiting with open arms, and as a mom I couldn’t feel more comfortable having my little one stay with them for the day. In the classroom, Miss G and Miss Jackie take such great care of her, and she comes home every day with a big smile, artwork, and a full report of how she did. I feel really at peace knowing she is with the women at First School!

I enrolled both of my daughters in First School at the La Quinta location. They attended the school for 2 years and had the pleasure of learning high quality and academic foundational skills from Ms. Kirsten in Room 9. Ms. Kirsten does an amazing job at making my children feel comfortable and excited about learning. They always look forward to school because she provides such a nurturing environment. While attending First School, I have seen so much growth in the areas of school readiness and social skills in my girls. Their behavior and manners have improved and I attribute that to positive reinforcement that is provided by all the staff and teachers there. The front desk staff is always welcoming, helpful and accommodating to any needs or requests I may have. I highly recommend First School in La Quinta because as a working mother I feel at ease knowing that my children are in great hands!

We have been a part of the First School family for about a year. Our 2 year old is thriving in her classroom and is excited to see her friends and teachers on a daily basis. From a scheduling standpoint, we are extremely grateful that First School has a schedule that accommodates two, full-time working parents. We can be confident that our child is well taken care of while we are working. We are also extremely happy that we found a school that really tries to incorporate the family into the child’s school experience. From pizza night at Chuck E. Cheese to family day at the park, from Halloween parades to Christmas recitals, First School does a fantastic job at providing opportunities for the families to come together in support of their children. We are also appreciative of the team at First School. I am greeted with a ‘hello’ every morning and a ‘good night’ every evening, with an added ‘see you tomorrow’. It warms my heart when the front office staff acknowledge my child and engage her in conversation. My child has taken quite a liking to Ms. Nicole and looks for her every night to say goodbye. The school incorporates age appropriate curriculum and makes learning a fun and exciting experience for my child. As a parent, I can’t ask for much more than a safe environment where she is known and loved and provided with exciting and engaging learning opportunities. We are anxiously awaiting for the time when baby sister is old enough to join big sister at school. Thank you for caring!
