First Baptist Church is a great church to attend has a lot of ministry ideas and always has activities that you can attend Sunday school classes are better than most churches I have visited in the past and it's within walking distance or biking distance they really help out especially if you have health conditions they have nurses some nurses I know from doctors offices I go to I even met a nurse that works at a doctor office I go to and he knows what to do for me and tells me to follow up in doctor office I had a medical situation on last Sunday and I can't remember nurses name but he was nice and knew exactly what to do and then I walked in the service at 11 am and I seen nurse that works at asthma clinic in Decatur Alabama that I go to well technician and I told him about the situation and he already knew I had appointment on Monday morning and told me to make sure I come for shots in Decatur Alabama and he said he would check me out and get me a blood sugar machine and do blood work while I was in office on Monday so thanks to the staff and nurse that helped me and I did follow up with two doctors i always look forward to learning more if it wasn't for the nurse a police officer that knows me i guess i would have been messed up the athens city police officers is always saving my life and trying to get me to doctor office and calling ambulance and rapid responders that deal with asthmatic patients and the ambulance service calls technician that is on call for me great job on last sunday and quick responses i give first baptist church a 5 from Mary Lewis

A loving Southern Baptist congregation that is known for solid Bible teaching, community service, and a particularly great music ministry (love that choir). Has both blended and contemporary worship services and many activities throughout the week for all ages. There is plenty of convenient parking right next to the church.

Because I live out of state and am not able to attend, I am so very thankful for the sermons that I am able to access on line. Please, please don't ever do away with this spirit filled learning; Pastor Joel, your message to me and many others is delivered in a way that I know is pleasing to our Almighty God and Father. Thank you.

Nice service, great first experience for southern Baptist. Preacher reminded me of Kenneth Copeland, well spoken. Church was pretty, loved the stained glass windows. They offered Sunday school after four multiple ages.
