Several people in the neighborhood have been verbally and physically threatened and assaulted by the two security guards working on Sunday mornings. One got in their personal vehicle to follow and threaten a dog walker two blocks away at the entrance to their townhouse for not changing sides of the street while walking their dog past the church. He threatened to Mace and potentially kill the dog. This is disgraceful, disgusting, and ILLEGAL. Both are off duty police officers abusing their authority. The church was alerted to this happening on multiple occasions and has chosen to do nothing. But hey, it’s all about love, right?!?
I’m in a hard transition and unfortunately homeless. I thought where can I park that’s safe and looked up and seen the church lot. However I was told I couldn’t park in there lot! No questions as to why I’m here or if I’m okay!! What happened to authentic ministries being about souls and community!! Do Better!! The guy in the Black Benz telling me to move!!
15th Avenue has been my home church since 2013. I was baptized there in 2015, and currently serve on several ministries. If you want to do God's work, there are so many beautiful ways to do so here. It is a place to feel welcome, to feel loved, and to hear the word of God. Our current pastor Reverend Byron Jackson has a way of reaching each individual with his messages each Sunday, with relevant, but biblically based preaching. Plus, the choir is wonderful and there are children's Sunday School classes weekly and children's church once a month, plus nursery services.
Attended a relative's funeral, everyone I met was friendly . The choir sang very well and the preacher preached a very meaningful message.
April 30th, 2024, my sisters funeral (Mrs.Margo Cain )service was held at this beautiful church. The staff, ushers,&choirs were outstanding.
