Great staff and service they provide. It was 1st time I volunteered there came to know about the services they provide for needy people. The staff were very nice and kind towards all. They have cleanly and pleasant environment inside. I made and distributed goodie bags for childrens there as it was Diwali and Halloween Day. Again if I get chance I would definitely volunteer. Cheer'SS :)
Needed rental assistance and they said I don't qualify, 60 years old and disabled, I think it's a total scam, they didn't ask me any questions that had anything to do with my situation.
I want to give zero stars but no option of that on google. It was a very disappointing experience. Me and my small children are homeless and I have been seeking help for months finally we got an opportunity here. On my way I had to unload multiple children in car seats find parking walk to the front door ring door bell wait for them to unlock then only I got in building. Once I entered I checked in and they made me wait on side then couple minutes later the front staff at desk denied me and said I was “too late” when I told her I was in the facility only and unloading my children she did not care and handed me sticky note that says call the hotline number again to be on waitlist. They do not care if you have children or homeless that was a prime example that people are heartless. As I walked out that staff at front desk smirked at her desk as if it satisfied her ego that she denied me and my children shelter. Very sad and ruthless experience.
This place is amazing, although you can't get into this family shelter without first calling here for you hotline. It's worth the wait to get into this shelter. They feed you three meals a day. The cook makes delicious food. There is homework club for kids. The rooms are nice like a big hotel room .I couldn't be more thankful. Family shelter...the complete opposite of commercial street jail/shelter.
It's a good shelter the workers are good workers as well just sometimes they can come off rude and not knowing what any one who stays in the shelter are really going through doesn't help. They got so strict and the manager Connie kicked my daughter out for he after school program and she doesn't even like school anymore he grades plummeted she was in TK and wasn't allowed back in now she's in kindergarten doing better since w e left but she was greatly discouraged when it happened last uear
