I stumbled across this facility by joining the Icci program for community resources which was out of my district of residence. This facility staff is so outstanding with all sorts of resourceful help for you and your family to support the community of their needs. The case manager that I was assigned to Miss Francenia Ponder who I would like to refer to as an angel, because she was definitely a hidden Jewel. Her time and effort was so calculated with quick resources and quick turn arounds with met assistance goals that were delivered. She assisted with kindness.By going above and beyond with even food pantry referrals that were assisted by the help of a colleague Mr.Ernest Ball, which allowed my family to have very well top selected choice family items that were in such elegant conditions it felt like a lifesaver from heaven. I will give this community center 100 ratings from just the experience of those two alone which helped restore my family's hope and trust that a community organization cares. I've had my share of needs with assistance but this particular center here was something different and I'm forever grateful.
It might be impossible for me to adequately express my gratitude. This place has been assisting me with saving my own life for quite some time now. The clinicians and clinical interns are professional and kind. They do actually care. The facility and the grounds there are nice and peaceful. I never dread coming here for appointments. I consider myself lucky to be a client.
I'm a single mother, 3 small children lost my job and has used my unemployment to keep up along with my last savings. I'm behind on rent 2 months, applied for this place like others saying I'm not eligible! Why is that? Because I'm not Jewish? My Israelite co worker who mind you, applied after me, we're both jobless, she has 1 child and just got approved today but I got a denial today smh. These ppl are only helping their kin and nobody else. I'm about to call the Micheal Thurmond's office and bring it to their attention. This definitely isn't right!
I’m beginning to think that this non-profit organization only caters to certain people because I’m noticing that several African American individuals have applied here including myself to only be turned away on numerous occasions. I wish there was some way that we could report these type of organizations because they clearly are selective on who they are choosing to help and it should be against the law to do this.
Would not recommend this center as they carry no compassion to their clients.
