I have three children and all three have or are currently attending the FCEDS. We could not be happier with our experience. As a former educator, I really value the emphasis the school places on play and discovery. At the same time, my children have graduated fully ready for kindergarten. We have done every class from the 2s program all the way to the Kindergarten/5 year old class and have had incredible teachers and classroom environments. The school is filled with kind parents, enthusiastic staff, and the joy of learning. It is a true gem and at a very affordable rate. Could not recommend it more!
We couldn’t be happier with our experience at FCEDS. From the very first day, we were welcomed with such warmth and kindness. It truly feels like a second home for our child. Mrs. Soulen, Ms. Maggie annd Ms. Polly are incredibly nurturing, patient, and genuinely invested in each child’s growth. They take the time to get to know every child as an individual, their personality, learning style, and unique needs and it shows in how supported and confident our child feels every day. What really sets this preschool apart is the sense of belonging and community. Families are encouraged to be involved, communication is open and thoughtful, and there’s a shared commitment to helping each child thrive both academically and emotionally. We’re so grateful to have found such a special place for our child to learn, grow, and be loved. Highly recommend to any family looking for a warm, supportive start to start their child’s education!
We LOVE the Falls Church Episcopal Day School. My daughter started in the parents' morning out class at 18 months old and attended the 2s, 3s, and 4s classes. My second daughter joined the 2s class as well. All of their teachers have been so warm and welcoming and truly love what they do. They are excited to go to school each day to play, discover, and learn! As a former elementary teacher, I can't say enough for how well the school fosters play, curiosity, and joy in learning, which are a perfect setup for elementary school. Further, I have met so many lovely parents who share the same values. I've made many friends! The school cares about community. There is something to be said for a preschool that has stood the test of time and been a fixture in the community for over 50 years. We love TFCEDS!
This preschool is one of the best under-discovered gems of Falls Church City. Small class sizes, enthusiastic, loving teachers and staff, very affordable and has an involved, invested parent community. This is the 3rd preschool attended by our children over the years, and an easy favorite.
Today I went to the school to apply for enrollment for my babies - I was amazed at the courteous greeting and the overall positive environment - felt like it would surely be a great place for them to learn and grow! Very positive interaction.
