FUMC has such an incredibly warm, welcoming and supportive community. The Pastors, T. Bryson Smith and Angela Schroder are highly engaged, and it is a joy to strengthen my relationship with God with their example and leadership.
We move every few years and this is a very welcoming church. We love playing Handbells weekly with Mr. Payne.
This review is for the Fairfax United Methodist Church (FUMC) Preschool. As lifelong teachers and newish grandparents, our three- year-old granddaughter's experience with Mrs. Sherman and Mrs. Lawrence exceeded our highest expectations. They are, without exception, consistently loving and child-centered. Equally important to us is their approachability and responsiveness. They work as a team, and even though Mrs. Sherman is the "lead teacher," there is no evidence of this to the children. Our granddaughter adores them both equally. Likewise, the school's director, Ms. Laurie, has demonstrated the same desirable traits. We visited 10 preschools with our daughter before she and her husband made the "big decision," and we met with Ms. Laurie in person three times. She always welcomed our inquiries and kept us informed of class size changes, delivering honest and forthright answers to our initial concerns. Although there are other teachers at FUMC, our experience is limited to the two named above. In our collective views, there are none better than Mrs. Sherman and Mrs. Lawrence to kick-start a child's love of learning in a school setting. The Tucci-Reeder Family
Attended services for nearly 15 years many years ago and still have such fond memories. A wonderful community church welcoming for all.
Attended a memorial service for a close family friend. Plenty of parking. Well-kept grounds. Friendly and courteous staff.
