Loved this school when it was still Anchorage Christian schools but once the mountain city owners took over it took a turn for the worst. Honestly a traumatizing experience for both me and my son. They have unrealistic expectations for kids and if they don’t meet these expectations they belittle your kid and make them feel less then. My son’s self esteem got really bad because of this school. Staff disclose diagnoses to the other students and the students will bully your child because of this. They charge $8,000 a year per child and claim they don’t have resources to meet the needs of the children. They also ask for donations multiple times a year as if they aren’t charging for kids to go here. Not worth the money u pay. My son is now in public school and is doing way better academically and with his behavior because he is in a positive environment with teachers who positively encourage him. I’ve heard other similar stories from other parents who took their kids here so I know it wasn’t just us.

Mountain City Christian academy is a wonderful school! Students receive an outstanding education in addition to learning about Jesus. They learn what it means to live a life of faith and how to honor God in all we do. I highly recommend this school.

Our family’s experience with Mountain City Christian Academy (MCCA) has been nothing short of exceptional. Both of our children have thrived academically and personally, thanks to the school’s unwavering commitment to quality education and strong moral values. The dedicated and caring staff at MCCA have created an environment where our kids are excited to attend school each day. They have developed a genuine love for learning, fostered by teachers who are not only knowledgeable but also deeply invested in their students’ success. The emphasis on school spirit and community is evident through the numerous engaging activities and events that bring students together, fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie. One of our children began their educational journey at Little Mountain Movers Academy (LMMA), MCCA’s early education preschool. The seamless transition from LMMA to MCCA has been instrumental in their continued academic excellence and personal growth. The strong foundation built at LMMA has set the stage for success in the rigorous and supportive environment of MCCA. The faith-based support at MCCA is outstanding, providing our children with a moral compass that guides their daily interactions and decisions. The integration of faith and learning has reinforced the values we uphold at home, creating a cohesive and nurturing atmosphere for our children’s development. We are profoundly grateful to all the teachers and staff who consistently demonstrate care, love, and dedication to the safety and education of their students. Their passion and commitment have made a lasting impact on our family, and we wholeheartedly recommend Mountain City Christian Academy to families seeking an enriching and supportive educational experience for their children.

I would like to express my concerns regarding my son's experience at Little Mountain Mover, where he has been enrolled for over two months. While I appreciate some aspects of the school environment, there are several areas that need improvement. ### Hygiene I expected the school to emphasize the importance of hygiene, especially regarding handwashing after using the restroom and before meals. My son has not been reminded to wash his hands, which is concerning. When I asked him about this, he mentioned that the teachers do not prompt the children to do so. Although the school appears clean, consistent hygiene practices should be a priority. ### Hydration I am particularly worried about my son's hydration. He has not been drinking water throughout the day, going without any water from 9 AM to 5 PM. The teacher's response indicated that he had access to his water bottle but did not monitor individual intake. While milk is provided, it cannot replace water. I encourage the school to promote regular water breaks and emphasize the importance of hydration for young children. ### Education In terms of educational support, I have observed that my son is discouraged from coloring nicely and not corrected when writing his name incorrectly. Positive reinforcement and constructive feedback are essential for young learners, and I believe the teachers should offer more encouragement and guidance. ### Communication and Administration I have found the communication from the administration to be lacking. When I reached out regarding my concerns, the response was delayed and not very helpful. During a phone call about withdrawing my son, the conversation felt abrupt and cold, which left me feeling undervalued as a parent. It's crucial for the administration to foster an open and supportive dialogue with parents. ### Conclusion Overall, my experience at Little Mountain Mover has been disappointing, particularly regarding hygiene, hydration, educational support, and communication. I hope that by sharing this feedback, the school can make necessary improvements for the benefit of all students.
