What Parents Say
EXCEL XII receives consistently high praise from parents, with all reviews rating it 5/5 stars. Parents highlight exceptional teacher quality, strong communication, family-like treatment, and successful developmental outcomes for their children across infant through pre-K programs.
Literally couldn’t even put into words how much I LOVE this daycare. My kids have been coming here since 2022, and my youngest was only a few months old. They have been more than happy to help me with anything I need. Communication is always fast, efficient and friendly. I’ve loved every single one of my kids teachers and so have they, they’ve treated us as if we were family since day one. My oldest has a speech delay and dealt with some emotional regulation struggles early on, and the staff went above and beyond to make her feel safe, heard and welcome. She’s now thriving. Anytime anyone asks for recommendations on childcare I will forever suggest excel 12!!
Loved the daycare in the beginning. However, our daughter would go to daycare and cry all day. Which is NORMAL for a child who has NEVER been before. Some of the teachers showed such a big lack of patience for her and one day when we came in to pick our daughter up, we caught the teacher pushing our daughter away and saying “go over there. I can’t deal with you anymore.” Like I’m sorry? She cries a lot. I get it. But I didn’t choose your job. You did. And when you work with children, that IS NOT okay behavior. When brought up to the directors, they said they took care of it but couldn’t tell me how. When I asked if my daughter could be switched to a different room, they said no. When I asked if the teacher could be switched to a different room, they said no because “shes our only closer.” So my daughter is expected to still come and see that teacher every day that treated her like crap? Also, it was my son‘s first time at daycare as well. He did not like outside time. They stated that they could not hold every single child all the time. Which is fine and completely understandable however, why is it that my child is standing there crying his eyes out and one of the teachers is holding one of the director’s children so he doesn’t cry? If my son has to walk around and cry, so does yours. There shouldn’t have been special treatment. They’d pick up my son’s pacifier off the ground and put it right in his mouth without cleaning it off. I’d pick him up and almost every day his pacifier and face has grass and dirt on it. So much so that his face started breaking out. His diapers were ALWAYS too tight and his nose was always covered in snot. Drop offs are always difficult for some parents. That’s another NORMAL THING. Yet some of the teachers stand there, watch us, and don’t help? Our daughter’s favorite teacher, Ms. Lillian, would come to the door and walk our daughter away, talk to her softly, show kindness and patience. While the other teachers showed no such thing! Shout out to Ms. Lillian for being an outstanding teacher and being an amazing example of what teachers SHOULD BE! If only there were more like her in the world. And another shout out to the office assistant who always made us feel seen and heard. It’s unfortunate that it wasn’t enough. Maybe if they weren’t so pressed for staff, they wouldn’t let their standards slip for their teachers. But the excuse of “all we can do is talk to the teachers. We can’t make them do anything.” Doesn’t work when you, as directors, are supposed to DIRECT. MANAGE. Not just talk to them and say “well we tried.” Disappointing. Would not call this a 5 star daycare and will be reporting it to DSS for reevaluation.
We love the staff and administration at Excel 12! Both of my boys love going to school every day and I can go about my day knowing they are well taken care of! The infant teachers are loving and I know my son gets the snuggles he needs. Mrs Kelli and Mrs Sherica are exceptional at what they do and I am so grateful my oldest got placed with them for NCPK and have no doubt they will lead him to a successful transition into kindergarten!
Consistently trying to figure out how my son is getting hurt at daycare. Last year he had fingertip marks on his thigh. It was this year that I saw one of his teachers grabbed him by the limbs as he flared. Maybe that's easier for her but it could lead to injury to him. I picked him up this weekend from his mother right after she got him from daycare. He has a big bruise on his thigh. When he was asked where he got his boo boo he said daycare and just by simply asking how he got it at daycare he said teacher.
Could not have asked for a better early education center for my 2 little ones! My kids are in separate classes but I love all of their teachers! Ms. Jessica & Ms. Judi have treated my daughter like their own this entire school year, and I couldn't be more grateful for the time they've spent helping her grow. Mrs. Nielsen and Ms. Sherica have also been amazing with my son, he loves both of them dearly and absolutely loves learning because of them! Thank you all for an amazing year!
