Called to see if pool was open and the lady said yes and closes at 6. Show up and it closed at 4! Wish these people with information would give correct info. Not impressed.
So far my experience at this facility has been okay. My daughter recently completed swimming she enjoyed it. Instructors and life guards on staff were all professionals. Looking forward to my daughters next phase in her swimming lessons. 💯💪🏿
Very dissatisfied, the way my child's swim class was taught was a complete joke. I will never sign my kids up with THIS Effingham YMCA again. Sign my son up for swim lessons. He went the whole 2 weeks, we were told he was doing fine. The person who initially was teaching the class was there the first week but then the second week he had two other teachers. I did not mind that too much, but what bothered me was the last two days, there was two different teacher. They did not work with him before. The teacher for the last day only had him for that day and decided he needed to retake the class. So everyone else pass the swim class but my son. Yeah, seems sketchy, my child was singled out because he was different. I learned he did not complete the class, when I went to receive his paper for completion, but they give you nothing, not even tell me after I ask you if this was the last day. They wanted me to sign him up for the same class for another two weeks. Why would I do that, you did not help him The first time why would I pay you the not help him for a second time. The fact that an adult can be hateful towards a child for nothing at all is very shameful. Just shows this continues to exist in this world. So disappointed, this is my experience.
Took my kiddos here to the pool when they visited from Arkansas, we had a blast in the pool and the folks here are awesome friendly people!
I have asked twice for someone to go over the exercise equipment with me and both times I get someone will call you and a month later I am still waiting on that phone call. Today I did have someone working out offer to help me as I had no clue how to operate the equipment. Maybe the Y should give him a free month membership because he is doing their job. My wife does the water aerobics and other classes and is happy. We will change the membership to a single person. I'm done.
