Eastminster is a significant part of my community. From youth to single life to raising a family, Eastminster has been and continues to be a place I call home. I grew up not attending church and was invited to Eastminster's middle school group. I came for the games and to make friends, but I received so much more in the years to come. To this day, Eastminster continues to be well known throughout the city for its great children and youth programs that provide a safe place for students and leaders to grow in connection with each other and find their faith in God. Like a lot of college students, church became a lower priority for me over other activities. As I moved back to Wichita after college, Eastminster met me where I was and gave me the opportunity to meet others who were also struggling in their faith and were seeking a place to belong. I even met my future wife at a bible study when I was not expecting it. I will be the first to say that I am not a perfect person, but I credit the Eastminster community (Pastors Stan, Ben, Mike, church staff, and volunteers) for having a big impact in my life. I've learned what it means to know Jesus and help others know him better too. Not that my life is always peaceful, but I have peace in my life. Service and community outreach is a big part of who Eastminster is, and if you are looking to get involved , there are all sorts of opportunities! If you are like I was and a bit hesitant to come back to church, please consider Eastminster. This is a community that believes God loves you and wants you to be part of something awesome. There are 4 services on Thursdays and Sundays - so if you like small or big services, traditional or modern worship, formal or informal settings, there is something for you. Hope to see you soon!

In 2015 we moved to Wichita and had contacted several churches in the area to inquire about youth and student programs. We knew that finding a vibrant program was vital to making the transition for our children. Eastminster made an effort to not only follow up but, but take ample time to hear about our background, our needs and how their programs would best allow us to partner biblical learning into our lives. We found when we arrived the genuine love, welcoming and true friendships that developed so quickly we feel like we have always been here. Ultimately we found a second family that we wouldn't trade or want our lives to be without. We appreciate the rich relationships, the biblical worldview that we can apply to any area of life and the ability to impact our community and church by helping in so many diverse opportunities.

We are long time members of Eastminster and have been so blessed by the many ministries for both adults and children. There are many areas to become involved in and lots of opportunities to serve the church, community and world. We are also blessed with a very committed, vibrant and purposeful staff who not only loves and serves the members well, but loves one another. We have just added another service on Thursday evenings at 6.30. It is a beautiful and more simple service focused around the communion table. If you’re looking for a church to call home, please come and see for yourself!

Eastminster….what a place to worship! Such a welcoming place with smiling faces. We enjoy the children’s ministry for our four children, the variety of bible study classes for all seasons of life, and the options for both traditional and more contemporary worship! It has certainly been a place of refuge for us and a place our faith gets fueled!

Eastminster has been a place where I have felt accepted. I attend the 11:00 contemporary service, and I have been so loved on by the people I have met. The pastors are smart and so clearly love the people, that it is easy to connect to what they say. I got involved with a young adult group that has helped me navigate post-college life, and I’ve built connections even stronger than the ones I had at college. I can’t speak highly enough of this church and it’s people, if you give them even half a chance to welcome you. Definitely check their website for more info, because there is always something coming up that you can get connected through, whether it’s a small group, or a service opportunity, or a men’s (or women’s!) event. If you do come visit, I’ll be the one with a beard in the second row, come say hi!
