What Parents Say
Early Journey Child Development Center receives highly polarized reviews. Seven parents gave 5-star ratings praising the caring staff, director Ms. Cooper's flexibility with fees, clean facility, and individualized attention to children including those with special needs. However, three parents gave 1-star ratings citing serious concerns including inappropriate comments about a child, alcohol found in the facility, understaffing leading to suspensions, staff favoritism, inade
Do not let your kids attend this school the owner Ms.Cooper is very sensitive and also said our daughter private parts smell like “fish” out loud in front of the parents and me witch made me uncomfortable. They also share your pampers and wipes with other kids and also found Alcohol in my babies refrigerator with the milk. The whole establishment is unprofessional. Do not let your kids attend this school.
This is the most unprofessional daycare I have ever dealt with. They only hire family members. They suspend kids for excessive amount of days because they are understaffed. The owner came out her mouth more than once that they are understaffed and can’t provide kids “extra attention” that’s why they have to suspend them. When asked to see video footage they say the video disappears after a few hours. On top of suspending kids they will sign your name to keep receiving payment for the days they do not watch your kids. The daycare is entirely too small and the parking is dangerous! They are also not keeping up with the Teacher to kid ratio and I have already reported this with the state. They are closed for every vacation the schools are closed and they are not open at 6:30 like the sign says. Please send your kids any where but here !
Let me first Start off by saying I always support black own business, but this is way many people of color businesses shut down. When I first started bringing my son here I rarely saw Ms Cooper, I've always had contact with her daughter. She is very sweet and sincere. But Ms Cooper on the other hand is something else. She presents her self as this loving director who enjoys her job. But her aura is different I've watched her play favorites with the children and the staff. It's a family owned business but she seems to only hire people she "thinks" are a good fit instead of people with credentials. When she walks in the building or comes out of her office the children and the staff are on eggshells. My daughter also came to the daycare for after school care. She would tell me how how hot it is and how her after school teacher is always alone with 16 + kids or how she will give the kids up stairs a certain snack and give the after school kids apples and water. I remember myself when the young lady had to come upstairs to talk to me about my child's behavior and Ms Cooper looked at her with a death stare because she was telling me about what my child did and she sorta pushed the young lady back down the steps. I've been downstairs to get my kids. My son was in the class room in the back but the heat of the beginning summer months knocked me out. That heat is unbearable. The last straw is when I asked to have a conversation with ms Cooper about another child biting my son and what will done about it she basically said kids will be kids. I don't recommend anyone bringing their child here. Mrs Vivan the Prek teacher whom I thought was my son's teacher said to me she didn't even know what she was doing... It's truly sad.
My 5 children has been attending this center for about 6 months and when I say they are the best I mean it! The director about the needs of children. I brought my 4 your old on the first day of school not knowing that the center was not Georgia lottery funded. So instead of turning me around she allowed me to continue to bring my son until I got CAPS. I have been excuse on late fees over $100 and not to mention she arrange for pick-up and drop-off for my 5 children at a extremely reasonable rate. I need to relocate but I love this place so much I am willing to make exceptions. I am hard to convince separation when it comes to my children, so what that being said. There like Allstate. Your children are in Great Hands!!!😍😍😍😍
This childcare facility is the best for me hands down! My twins have been here since they were 6wks old and my boys have been here since they were 1 and 4. My kids are well taken care of here. Even with a special needs child the care and love is through the roof!!! The staff members are kind, loving and professional! I love everyone there, my kids have learned so much while being enrolled here. All kids eat full meals and healthy snacks. Ms. Cooper loves every child that steps foot in her doors. I have never had to deal with negativity and favoritism. Kids will be kids and as parents we must know how our kids are. I know my children are in safe hands and I am forever grateful knowing that no one here will mistreat my children! They will continue their stay here until they can’t anymore. Great providers are hard to come by! Volunteer on an off day and see for yourself!!!
