Dunwoody Christian Academy

We started DCA in October and it has been the best decision for our family. My 2 boys love it - they are 4 and 2. They went to a previous daycare/preschool in the dunwoody area and my oldest who has ADHD struggled and dreaded going to school and was labeled the “difficult” kid. He would say he didn’t want to go to school because they will send me to the office. He is a very bright child so I believe this new environment really has challenged him academically and his teachers are amazing. I have not been called once about any behavior issues. This is such a blessing and a relief for a mother. Also, low teacher turnover rate and you can tell they really love teaching and all the children. They learn a lot but most importantly they allow kids to be kids and have fun. Best decision. I highly recommend DCA!

There are so many wonderful things I could share about DCA but I’m limited to this text box. The staff is amazing! Our son attended DCA and has had excellent teachers. All who provided a different benefit. Ms. Jariah was caring and nurturing. She made our son feel welcomed and loved. Once he moved to the next grade level, Mrs Andrea couldn’t have been a better fit. While they were oil and water, it was exactly what our son needed. Structure, discipline, and love all wrapped in one. When Mr. Denzel joined the team, we were so grateful to have a male teacher. One who is both caring yet stern… a gentle leader for our boys. And this school has MULTIPLE male teachers. All who are kind, giving and encouraging. The administration is welcoming and I want to point out that our hearts were warmed when we saw how inclusive Ms. Maggie is of diverse women! The icing on the cake, and this goes without saying, our son knows and loves the Lord. He tells me all sorts of things about Jesus, where He is (in our hearts and in the sky), that He made the flowers and how much He loves us. I wish I were being paid to write this review, but I cannot say enough great things about this school. I was shopping in Target (back in 2023) and saw a guy and his son. His son had on a uniform shirt that said DCA. I boldly asked him if he’d mind sharing what school his son went to because we were desperate to find a school that met my son’s needs. And he shared the same details I am sharing here. Our son tells us about parts of the plane, how the universe works, can identify site words, and so much more. Our son is 3! And lastly, our kid practices golf and other extra curricular as well. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to DCA for caring for our kiddo!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dunwoody Christian Academy! Both of my girls have been cared for and loved here, and it truly feels like family. My youngest started at just 6 weeks old, and the teachers embraced her (and me!) with so much love, patience, and care. Now, years later, both of my daughters are still greeted each day by teachers who know them, understand them, and pour into them daily. I’m beyond grateful for the role DCA has played in our family’s life and couldn’t imagine being anywhere else!

Our boys love summer camp at DCA! They have fun and get to experience something new everyday with their activities and field trips. We are happy with the camp director and our boys love it and we do too!

I don’t have enough words to express how happy I am with Dunwoody Christian Academy. My child is more rambunctious than most kids her age, and unlike another facility we briefly attended, DCA never treated her like a “problem child.” Instead, they welcomed her with patience, understanding, and genuine care. Since joining the school, I’ve seen remarkable growth in her—both in her speech and behavior. It’s clear that the entire staff, from the Director to Mr. Kevin (who keeps everyone safe), truly cares about the well-being of each child. The atmosphere feels like one big family. You can feel the warmth and love the teachers have—not just for my daughter, but for every child in their care. I wholeheartedly recommend Dunwoody Christian Academy to anyone looking for a nurturing, supportive, and loving environment for their child.
