What Parents Say
Parents universally praise Dulin as a high-quality, affordable preschool with caring teachers and a strong community focus. The cooperative model requires parental involvement but is described as manageable and rewarding, fostering lasting friendships among families. Children reportedly thrive in the play-based, developmentally appropriate curriculum.
Dulin has been a wonderful preschool for our child and a welcoming community for our whole family. The teachers are professional, creative and extremely caring. The parent-run board is super organized and the co-op model lends itself to a warm and welcoming community. The focus on play-based learning and developmentally appropriate activities has helped my child to learn crucial social skills while instilling an early love of learning. We've made wonderful friends at Dulin plus- it's so affordable!
Finally posting a review after 2 kids & a year away from the school. This school is GREAT! It is a play-based model. Cooping requirements are not that taxing. Full-time working parents can participate if their work schedule is flexible. Dads can also coop as well, not just moms. Dulin is a part-time school & not full-time daycare, so will not work for every family. We are still friends with many of the children/families in our classes. Some of the kids do the same extracurricular activities together. Some of us meet up and hang out together (fun family outings or celebrate milestone events). We still keep in touch with our teachers. If you are looking for a nurturing community that will last years beyond your time at preschool, this place is the right preschool for you.
Dulin is great! My kid really loves school and I love the way Dulin fosters kids’ development. It being a co-op school, I was initially worried about the time commitment but it’s very doable. The school is well-organized and I was given plenty of notice when I needed to participate. If certain date doesn’t work for me, I found it very easy to work with other parents to switch our required days. It’s also reassuring to see many parents with a teaching background because they probably know better!
Our experience at Dulin has been so positive! I had a hard time finding a great half-day option for my toddler, but when I found Dulin, it felt like a perfect fit! The co-op model means more involvement, but that’s a plus for me—not only do I love being in the class with my kid, I know all the other kids in their class and I know the other parents are all committed to the school too. It’s not the fanciest place, but I am so glad we found it!!!
It has been wonderful to be a part of the supportive Dulin community for 5+ years. I love getting to be a part of my child's preschool experience and getting to know the other children and families. We have stayed in touch with many of the families we have met through Dulin. Another positive of the cooperative preschool model is the continuing education sessions 2x/year. The speakers bring new ideas related to parenting (STEM, nutrition, discipline, etc) that I wouldn't necessarily be seeking on my own. Can't recommend Dulin enough!
