Our oldest started at DHCDC as a 6-month old at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, and we couldn't have been placing her in better hands. The attention of the administrative team and staff to the needs of both children and parents have not wavered since then. Our children have gotten a great early-childhood education all the way through a lottery funded Pre-K class that prepared our oldest to thrive in Kindergarten. DHCDC and the community of parents and grandparents (of both current and former students) have continued to make DHCDC the best place we can imagine to have our kids attend.
We have had all 3 of our children attend DHCDC, from the infant class all the way through to Pre-K and camps. It is really well run, great community, wonderful staff and teachers. Our 5 yr old son entered Kindergarten this year already reading & mathing at above a 1st grade level thanks to DHCHD. They teach them early! Plus all food is included, they do field trips, exercise programs, music, you name it. Best kept secret in Atl!
My daughter was at DHCDC for her PreK year and I wish we could have gotten her in sooner. Our time (even though just for a year) there was one of the most rewarding for both our daughter and us. The amount of love and community they provide and create is exactly what the kids and parents need. The teachers and staff go above and beyond to make sure that they are building a strong future generation. Now that our daughter is in elementary school, I can share that she was beyond prepared for starting school off with success. We had placed our daughter on the waiting list mostly because of price, location and hours/days open (and the fact the rate included meals). But what you get with the love, attention, guidance, creating a fun learning environment, preparing the kids for elementary school, and community is what makes them really stand out. I highly recommend.
Such an incredible school, all the way through the lottery pre-k. A warm community environment, truly dedicated to early childhood education. My kids have thrived every step of the way, and were beyond prepared for elementary school after graduating from the most nurturing pre-k class. Will forever be appreciative of the dedicated DHCDC team and teachers.
We love it here. 2 kids under their care and it has been amazing. Teachers are fabulous, community is strong, and most importantly, the kids are safe, happy and learning everyday!
