Doodle Bugs! Children'S Centers

While I don't believe that any daycare will ever meet a parents lofty expectations- after all we are entrusting our most prized positions to others to teach and care for them 8-10 hours each day. That being said, our experience at Doodle Bugs has been better than I anticipated. The staff has always been loving and kind to my children who are thriving. If I see or feel that there is an issue I speak with the administrators and every issue has been resolved to my satisfaction. The new administration is really focused on making this facility the best place for the children's learning and safety and they are not afraid to release staff that do not meet the highest standards. This is our second daycare in the area and we are very happy with the quality of care that our children are receiving!

My significant other and I wanted to take the opportunity to post a review of Doodle Bugs in Lake Worth. We actually kid each other weekly, by saying that we wish our parents would have sent both of us to such a nice school! We are grateful that we found the school and are even more happy that our 4 year old son is adjusting to his new school for the past two months. When we first set foot in the school and met Amy the director and her staff we knew we were in very good company. Once you take a tour of the school, you quickly realize that is a state of the art facility when it comes to daycare! Some of these amenities that we found at Doodle Bugs that we never came across at other daycares include state of art finger print scanners to enter the brand new building, touchscreen monitors to check-in and out, a camera in our son's classroom to view our son while we are at work, a swimming pool w lessons, quality healthy breakfast and lunch servings, top-shelf materials the kids get to enjoy. Furthermore, the fact that everything was inclusive and not individually priced like other schools we visited made it a done deal! We also appreciate the amount of daily attention and care given to our son by his classroom teacher Ms. Jenna and her staff-Thank you so much! You will be doing yourself and you children a favor by sending them to such a great school! We actually drive out of our way (20 minute ride) to bring our son to Doodle Bugs! It"s more than worth it! I'm not sure of what happened with the previous reviewer. Sounds like a miscommunication issue. However, you do get what you pay for. There's no price we wouldn't pay for our son"s development! Our experience at Doodle Bugs couldn’t be any better. As first time parents, we visited every single childcare center in the neighborhood and nothing met our expectations. Sometimes we felt the building was not child friendly or the staff and/or teachers were not welcoming and sometimes, even the smell of their classrooms was unpleasant. But when I learned about Doodle Bugs opening their doors in Florida, I contacted the Director, Amy Collins. Since day one she has been welcoming, helpful and understanding of all our concerns. The center is amazing, it’s such a clean and vibrant place and most importantly, our child LOVES it there and we feel he is loved back. Overall, I am very pleased with Doodle Bugs in Lake Worth and the environment there is very caring. We are enrolled there for 2 weeks now and so far, I am very happy the way things are going. Though monetary-wise, it is quite costly to start my child (registration + 1 week advance to go towards last week tuition if leaving + 1 wk advance tuition before beginning the following week). Yet, we choose this center hoping to reduce the occurrence of my son being sick and Doodle Bugs fit our needs during our tour: it looks & smell clean and learn that the center has UV lights in their ducts and this 1st impression of the center remains to be the same everyday we arrive. Also, Amy, the Center Director was very thorough in giving us all the information we needed and on the requirements in order to start. She was also very gracious enough to allow my son come by for an hour 3x the week before he starts to get familiar with the place & teachers giving him smooth transition. Above all, the Teachers are very nurturing to my son & each child and they talk at eye level. And my son's teacher, Teacher Jena is very patient to him; she takes her time to speak to him & encourage him to take a bite. Now, he has been open to try foods presented to him -- sometime he ends to eat everything if he likes it after trying and some just really 1 bite food. But this means a lot to us already having a son who is a "very" picky eater even if he is hungry. Also, I noticed that at the end of the day, all the kids that I see still there looks clean. By far, I have NOT seen a child's hair sticking in their face due to sweat nor a dripping runny nose swept to the cheeks. The kids indeed are kept tidy & neat. Though, I can only say based on our experience in this review and for this, I am grateful that teacher Jena checks if my son is sweaty after the playground & make sure he get changed. This really made a huge difference for my son's health as well as their "hand-washing policy" for parents to wash hands together with their child upon entering the classroom and kids wash hands throughout the day. Curriculum wise, it is still too early to comment as my son's has been in the center only for 2 weeks and he already has learned something from the previous Center. So I am looking into what progress he would be having during his stay in Doodle Bugs. Though I notice that it is not strictly structured classroom style learning; yet, I am hopeful that the Doodle Bugs' BRAVO Curriculum would be a great learning experience for my Son.

Doodle Bugs! stands in a class of its' own. We toured several child care centers in the area and none of them felt quite right until we found Doodle Bugs! It is a brand new center that is a clean, welcoming, friendly environment. It is originally based out of the NY area so the standard of care is higher than FL, which is great! The classrooms have developmentally appropriate materials/furnishings and are arranged in a safe way. The curriculum is also developmentally appropriate and keeps the children engaged and learning in an active, hands-on way. The food for the children's meals is fresh and prepared on-site. The teachers and staff are wonderful! We are thrilled with the level of care our son is receiving! We have recommended Doodle Bugs! to several people because we are so impressed!
