A few days ago, I visited the daycare and had a concerning experience. The front desk person was quite rude. I noticed the young toddler classroom felt very cold, and when I asked about the temperature, she stated they keep it at 70 degrees, even in winter. She suggested I send a sweater with my child. As an adult, I found that temperature uncomfortably cold, and I'm worried about how a young toddler would stay warm. Her unwelcoming and unhappy demeanor when answering my questions was a major red flag for me. It makes me question how they would treat us as parents if they're so unwelcoming to visitors.
The staff here are knowledgeable, kind, and generous. They communicate effectively with me about my child, and have been nothing short of amazing in their support of her development. While they are very professional, they still manage to instill a level of love in their care. They have been a great team to work with on my daughter's milestones, and we have worked seamlessly together on regulating her schedule. Reliable, going above and beyond; as long as I'm living in a 15 mile radius, this is where my daughter will be. They care about the children here. All you have to do is be a cooperative, communicative parent, and they'll go to the moon and back for you. I don't know anyone other then my family that will treat my child as their own, and that's extremely valuable in a daycare.
Money Hungers! All they care is about money, not your childs, dont ever send your kids there. They say they've been working there for years as a family, and they all try to cover the wrong things for each other, either the teachers, the director and the owner, that's the whole wrong system. Wonder yourself, been more than 10 years but just got more than 30 reviews, I'm pretty sure half of the reviews are from the staff, can't trust. On the paper, breakfast is from 7am--8am, I took my son there, to his room and talk to the teacher for awhile cuz it was his first day, and asked her for his breakfast but was said breakfast was over, then just wait for the morning snack, at that moment I took the phone out and see what time was it, it was 08:06 which means we were there earlier few minutes ago. However, there was another lady who I did not know who she is, jumped in and argue with me "if you want your son to have breakfast here, you need to be early", I said we were here around 8, she confirmed the kitchen open 7-7:45am, she's been working there and she knows, I said but on the paper it shows 8am, I just read it, she replied "we all have the same paper", then his teacher go check the paper infront of the door, she reminded that lady it says 7-8am, then that lady was so embarassed and walked out talked to the director, and went back to the room threw my son a cereal bar, I didnt let my son eat it. Left the room to make the payment which I already asked for few days trial which waiving the registered fee, they accepted then they wanted to charge me $110/day, I wanted to try out on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, then I have to pay $330/3 days. And there attitude was like I already do you a favor to waive the register fee, otherwise it's gonna be $120 more which is $450/3 days, rediculous! Or I have to pay $290 for 3 days includes last Monday and Tuesday which we were not there yet! I did not do drop-in plan for him, it was a full time plan, they accpted the trial days then charge the drop-in rates!?! I complained about breakfast, then they show me we signed in at 08:09 then no more breakfast! Wow, at that time at recognized I cant talk to those people because they are covering up for each other, when the lady walked out to take the cereal bar, they noticed for each other then made a lie to the parents, how can it was 08:09 when I took my phone to check the time few minutes later was just 08:06? It's not about time, or breakfast, I cant let my son in UNHONEST system. Then I email the director, the photos was the way she talk to her client, no wonder why the whole staff acted like that! She did not listen to her client at all, and walked me away. Now I understand "work as a family" they mentioned, whole wrong system! I'm so glad that I found out the truth of that schook early and took my son back home, feel so sorry for other kids and parents. Wost school ever!!!!
I currently have 2 children at Discovery Point in Roswell. My first started at 7 months old (now 3 years old) and the baby is 11 months (started at 5 months old). My husband and I settled on Discovery Point because of the staff; they are all so loving and nurturing and treat my children like family. My girls love their teachers. As a matter of fact, my baby says, “Ms. Martha” more than she says “mama”. Ms. Martha is awesome with the babies. I just love that she gets down on the floor to play with the babies. She communicates with me daily on my baby’s progress and is very responsive to any inquiries I might have. She definitely makes a working mom feel comfortable knowing that their baby is in good hands. The center is clean and bright, I love the openness of the space, the separate play areas based on age and the overall layout. My 3-year old does daily lessons, and is learning so much. I am truly satisfied with the school. I am just happy that my babies are safe and happy. Keep doing an awesome job ladies!
This is the most educational, caring and loving childcare center in Roswell . You will feel very comfortable and secure knowing how well your child/ren is cared for here. They take pride in feeding the children all healthy foods! They even treat my children great as if they were their own. My children love the staff and so do I. The best decision I made was sending my children from the ages of 6 weeks - 4 years, to this very loving and nurturing environment. Management and staff treats us like family.
