Discovery Learning Center at PARC I am extremely disappointed, hurt, and angry about the treatment my 1-year-old received at this center. After watching their own camera footage, I learned that my baby was mistreated and restrained in a high chair FOUR different times simply for acting like a normal 1-year-old. That alone is unacceptable. On top of that, my child was left strapped in a high chair for around 16 minutes with no supervision, hit, and had his food taken away. Every time he cried, neither one of his teachers comforted him. No attention, no soothing, nothing — just pure neglect toward a baby who cannot speak up for himself. What makes this even worse is how the school handled it. Instead of protecting my child, they protected the business first. They made me sit and watch day-by-day camera footage for two hours, forcing me to relive everything just to get the truth. No parent should be put through that. I am speaking out because no child deserves to be restrained, ignored, or mistreated — especially not in a place that claims to care for children. This experience broke my trust completely. I hope this review helps other parents make informed decisions, and I truly hope the school takes responsibility and makes real changes so no other family has to go through this.
My son just started this school and he LOVES it!!! Such a great school and AMAZING staff!!! We are treated like family here. Our 3 year old has gone to MANY schools around here trying to get the right fit for him having autism and this is BY FAR our favorite!!! They’re also building a new addition! They have an amazing playground as well!! Our son is literally excited to go to school now. Such a breath of fresh air!!
My daughter has had a wonderful time at Parc’s Discovery Learning Center. The staff is friendly and carrying and treats you like family. The curriculum has been great and my daughter is always happy to go back every day. I recommend this daycare to all parents looking for a safe place for their little ones.
I am thrilled to recommend Discovery Learning Center. All three of my children have gone through DLC and our experience has been wonderful. The staff are very warm and understanding and my children have blossomed. The center also has many on-site therapies and services which are excellent. Throughout COVID the center has been in constant communication with us as parents and has gone above and beyond to put in all possible sanitization and safety measures. I absolutely recommend Discovery Learning Center with highest regards to any parent in Pinellas county.
Discovery Learning Center is a wonderful place the staff and Director are all wonderful the care and dedication each and everyone of them take to ensure that the children in attendance have a great experience through music, art, and center directed activities . Discovery Learning is about family dynamics. The Director has an open door policy and strives to help her families in anyway that she can. This center is a great center to be a part of whether as an employee or a family with children attending.
