My son attended here from age 1 to 2.8yrs old. It took some time getting use to as he was used to being at home with my family. But in the end he really opened up and loved his teachers and friends. Speaking happily about them daily, and sometimes taking his time to leave as he'd like to keep playing. He really cherished Ms.Alo, Mr.Gio, and Ms.Diana. I only switched him to a preschool near me due to the proximity and so he could have some friends going to the same elementary school. However, whenever I drive by Discovery Isle he tells me he wants to go there ("I want to go to daycare now!"). I also am enrolling my second baby to attend here soon, knowing he will be in good hands.
We have been so impressed with Discovery Isle as a preschool since starting with them at the beginning of the year. Our daughter has been very spirited since birth, and can be quite high maintenance at times. Her teachers (Miss Alo and Miss Kali) are loving, patient, kind, and are exceptional at giving parents updates and pictures of their kiddo throughout the day and week. The school itself have so many fun theme days and events that they put on. I was worried about my babe's transition from a home daycare with 3 kiddos to a facility daycare, but because of how wonderful Discovery Isle has been, it's been a dream!
We have had a wonderful experience at Discovery Isle. Our daughter has been attending the school for about 2 years and has learned and played so much. We’ve loved all of the teachers she’s had and they clearly love all of the kids. We feel very comfortable sending our second child there in a few months knowing that he will be in great hands. We would highly recommend Discovery Isle to any new parents.
My son attended Discovery Isle Poway for 1 year and 8 months. We are very happy generally with the daycare center. Pros: - High level of education in shapes, phonics, basic math, etc. - High level of organization and care. - Convenient hours. Open till 6 PM. - Large playground. - Many toys inside. - No LGBT/DEI agenda. At least none that I saw. - High safety standards. Cons: - High tuition price. Even at age 4 you pay more than $20K a year (Jan 2025). Backup daycare cost is $120/day. - I dislike their "citizen of the world" emphasis. Many countries in the world hate us. I don't think learning Spanish at age 4 is helpful. I rarely saw US flag there. I'd much rather they taught loving US and being good citizens. Overall, we were very happy with them and our son is in school now.
The teachers take great care of kids through all age groups. The Pre-K teachers are exceptionally good. I’m fortunate to have found this school for my kids. Rest of the staff is very helpful with various things. Overall Discovery Isle, Creek road is a great place to send kids to.
