Discover Little Miracles Child Care

We enrolled our daughters in Discover Little Miracles last summer when we had to find new care from our current in home daycare closing. Openings were hard to come by with centers that offer care for school aged kids as my daughter started Kindergarten in the fall. We have been very pleased with the care of their teachers and the owner and director have been fabulous. You can tell they really do care about the kids here.

I had a hard time finding care for my son because of Acid Reflux. Discover Little Miracles is a great fit for him. His infant teacher is absolutely amazing. My son is trying different learning experiences every day! He loves being there.

In early 2022 my husband and I toured Discover Little Miracles. We liked the director and teachers so decided to sign up. As infant spots are hard to find and we were early in our pregnancy, we gave the facility a payment in March to reserve our spot for the following January. Fast forward to October when I emailed the director a question and my email bounced back. I came to find out that in June the entire staff quit, the center closed and they had recently reopened with all new staff. This concerned us as we hadn’t been informed of the shut down and didn’t know what would cause the staff to all quit at once! Upon contacting the center, the new director said we were not enrolled. We set up an appointment to go and meet the new staff and try to sort things out. Upon arrival for our appointment, the new director was not there and had not informed anyone we were coming. The owner happened to be there so we talked to her instead. The owner stated she didn’t know we were enrolled so that’s why we weren’t notified of the closure. Additionally rates had gone up and things that were included in tuition fees when we signed up were no longer included. Due to all the changes and confusion, we decided this was no longer the right fit for our family. Upon asking for our deposit back since we were told multiple times that weren’t enrolled, suddenly we were enrolled. The owner has refused to give us our deposit back despite the center closing, not informing us of the closure and not being able to give us a clear answer on if we were even enrolled. We are thankful to have moved onto other care for our infant son.

I absolutely love the communication at the daycare and the prompt notifications about any changes for my little one. My baby has been in the preschool program since January and we haven't had an issue with any expectations from us or the providers here. I appreciate you all for what you do! 🫡

I felt extremely uncomfortable the moment I walked in. Communication was off, no one knew I was coming for a tour, the owner never introduced herself to me. Knowing that my son would have been the only African American child in his preschool class, and the way I felt leaving there, there was no way I was leaving my child there. To each its own but it definitely was not a good fit for my family!
