Destiny Academy

I truly enjoy attending this church. Great praise team. Great pastor with word from the bible that is broken down with understanding to use in my everyday life. Also outlines are given to write and follow along to not forget what was taught. Im new to the area and so far I see myself attending regularly.

I absolutely love Destiny. A friend recommended this church to me as soon as I moved to Atlanta. I visited the church the second Sunday after I arrived in the city and I've been there practically every Sunday since then! This church is completely up to date with all the latest technology. They utilize Social Media and other ways to reach new and existing congregation members. They have 3 convenient times on Sunday to attend church, which is perfect for any schedule and ensures that you want be in church all day, unlike other southern churches. They teach the word directly from the Bible and gives every one practical action steps to take home to apply each message. Needless to say, I love my church home.

I feel like I can go out and accomplish the things a Christian should when I leave this church. It is definitely not like my church growing up, where I felt compelled to "act" like a Christian. Hearing the word, I have a reason to want to try harder at my Christian living. I first joined at the old location and left for some years, being stationed overseas. But as soon as I returned to the states and GA, I already had my church home, DMWC! I love the messages Pastor Crute speaks and how it somehow applies to me directly, as if God was pointing straight at me in the sanctuary. It does get packed, so come early or go to the 0800 service.

When I first moved to the Atlanta area, I looked for a church that wasn't just a CHURCH. I fellowship at many, but my spirit wasn't settled until I went to Destiny. Here I found a family that not only worshiped in the church, but outside the building itself. I joined in 2008 and attended many services. I moved to Stockbridge in 2014 and found that the distance was my EXCUSE not to go anymore. I am coming back home, to where my spirit has always been at peace, tomorrow. I missed a lot over the year, but GOD has directed me to there. I love all that there is to love, a family who is patient with my spiritual growth, ones who challenge me to stretch and grow beyond my comfort zone. Pastor Crute is genuine and makes it easy to understand by show how things are biblical directed and applies today.

There is an expression that says courage is to tell the story of who you are wholeheartedly. (Brene Brown) That's what this church is all about. That's what I felt today here at Destiny. Through the leaders, the speakers, the singers, the people sitting next to me. Everyone wholeheartedly worshiping, welcoming, speaking, being a part of the blessing that brought me here today.
