We’ve never had either of our kids in full day daycare before, and with starting a new job I knew it would be a big jump for my 3.5 year old to go from 12 hours of care a week to almost 50. And she’s done SO well. She loves her teacher and her classmates. She comes home beaming about the activities she’s done and the food she’s eaten. She is singing the most adorable songs all the time. She loves her school so much that she asked if she can stay every day from open to close (the answer is no, but some days she comes close 😅) I’m typically the first person in the door the second the clock strikes 7 (beating most of the teachers even 🤣) because I’ve got appointments across town starting at 7:30. I appreciate everyone’s patience with me- when I’m there long before front office staff, whoever is there does a great job passing messages along. We are very very happy we chose Deerwood
We have had two children with Deerwood and they have done a phenomenal job preparing them for kindergarten. In addition to the excellent academic prep, all of the staff are always so friendly and caring and our children love it at Deerwood. Our daughter’s VPK teacher this year, Miss Jen, has been incredible and we are so grateful for all of her hard work!
Our family had a great experience at Deerwood Academy! We enrolled our twins in part-time VPK. The teachers and VPK director were superb and genuinely cared for their students. We are so grateful that our twins had an excellent first school experience!

This is an excellent school with wonderful caring teachers and administrators. We’ve had 4 kids attend at different times starting with the toddler room, and 3 graduated from VPK. They really prepare them well for kindergarten with academic skills as well as social skills. Everything is well organized, and they go above and beyond with special art shows, events, and theme days. I highly recommend!
