My kids have been coming here since infants. My oldest was 10 weeks, second was 6 weeks and my youngest was 4 weeks. I couldn’t recommend them more. They are life family to us. Out of the 5 years if we ever had an issue as simple as losing a bottle cap lol they would fix it as soon as they could. If my kids were having a breakdown miss Mari always called to let me know they calmed down. I would trust ANYONE to watch my babies more than them.

I absolutely love sending my son to this Daycare. I am thankful that I can call or feel safe in asking any questions at anytime. The progress reports that I have gotten have always been detailed, I was impressed with all the info that they put on there. Every worker I have ever come into contact with there has been helpful and genuinely excited to see my child. As a mother, that makes me feel very good. Also, any child I've seen there when I come in has been happy or laughing. Eating, or working on a craft. They always try to work with my schedule and their communication is always done in love and done promptly.

our short story: During the last 4 years, Iv watched Daystar and my children grow in so many good ways. My oldest is 11, my middle child is 9, and my youngest is 16 months. Being a single mom of three is never easy, especially working full time. Finding Daystar daycare when I did was an absolute blessing; I'm beyond grateful. We originally moved to Grand Blanc in 2019, and finding child care in Grand Blanc district is impossible; most are not affordable for a single mother. Nor do they stay open late enough for any parent to work a full 8 hours. I had actually googled close enough daycares that fit in route from home to work and school for my oldest children. Thats when I came actoss Daystar. Now we had been in two other daycares. One of which we had moved from the area, and the other just simply did not work out. I was nervous, as were most parents. Choosing daycare for your own child is a very big step. Your choosing who's going to help raise your child. Who's going to comfort them while you're at work? Who feeds them when they're hungry? Who's going to help guide them? They are who you trust your child with daily. Walking into Daystar doors for orientation was welcoming and safe; meeting Mary and the Daystar coworkers for the first time was such a genuine feeling. That day is the very day I choose Daystar for my children. Which both my oldest absolutely adore every single coworker. Every fall, winter, spring, and summer break, good or hard days, they come home happy children, fed good food, as they would say, and wanting to go back in the morning. Now my 16-month-old was the youngest to start attending daycare; I believe she was 2 months old. I had no idea what I was doing. Never did I feel alone; Mary and all the daystar coworkers have always been there every step of the way with open arms. All of us working together as a team. With open communication. Plus, my youngest loves all of them and comes home a happy baby, smiling ear to ear at pick up. When someone asks me, do my children attend daycare? I always answer. With high recommendations for Daystar daycare, each and everyone who takes care of all three of my children will always hold a special place in my heart. They are by far the most caring, loving, and positive daycare.

Some of the staff are very approachable while others are not at all. You won't get progress reports, only a piece of paper that places a checkmark beside a random activity. Never saw projects they completed. A friend of mine who sent her child here, took her child out after seeing what I experienced. Took my child out and enrolled into a sound and organized establishment, with certified teachers, and what a HUGE difference! I would never send my child here. Don't recommend unless they actually implement some significant changes.

I was excited after meeting the staff and seeing the center to send my daughter here. I called them the same day I toured ( a Wednesday) to let them know I was ready to start the process of enrolling her at the center. The next day I never got a call back and remembered they told me email was the best way to contact them so I emailed them early in the morning on a Thursday. After that was a long weekend so the next Tuesday I called again because I hadn’t received any response to my call or email. I spoke with a lady who said my call would be returned shortly the person I needed was in a meeting but it never was. After a week of emails and calls I was never contacted back it was very disappointing after initially liking the idea of sending my daughter here. The no communication made me say nevermind I need the people caring for my child to be way more responsive.
