Main sound system not working. Beautiful sound from organ. Christmas music was good
I have been a member of this church for almost 30 years and have raised my children in this wonderful, caring community. I am proud to belong to such a loving congregation who exemplify the best of what it means to be a Christian.
I live in the neighborhood, part of my almost daily walks is to traverse the large parking lots and circle the church. The building is beautiful. Particularly I like the stained glass windows depicting many of the gospel stories. Sometimes I will stop to consider the art and meditate on the stories. And there is an interesting cross in the back, I am thinking constructed by a creative youth group? Along the way I have met the contemporary church pastor and was invited to worship, very kind thing to do. Once I was searching for a lost dog, the custodians went out of their ways to be kind and helpful. I think all this reflects on a good church, I am honored to be their neighbor.
Staff, clergy, and members are friendly, sincere, and welcoming. This is a church where you can learn about, grow with, and serve God. The music is great, the outreach is great and the congregation is amazing. Sunday school is available for children and adults. Cub scouts, girl scouts, boy scouts, and other social activities meet on campus throughout the week. There is a place for everybody.
As I am assisting a friend with gathering her rent we called here and the receptionist Tracy straight out said, "Sorry ma'am we aren't offering ANY assistance." She did not refer, put a extra thought or even offer a PRAYER. Its amazing we tithe to the very churches that make you fill a form out (if you're lucky) or simple tell you no when its YOU that needs the help. The way she cut us short was absolutely amazing. But what if the IRS did that when they want to claim non-profit???
