What Parents Say
Cross Timbers Preschool & Daycare in Owasso receives overwhelmingly positive reviews from parents and staff who praise the clean facilities, experienced teachers, enriched curriculum, and caring management. However, two negative reviews report serious concerns about staff oversight during incidents involving aggressive behavior between children and inadequate communication with parents about behavioral issues.
I brought my son to CrossTimbers from the YMCA and have never looked back. The whole staff knows my son from the teachers to the bus drivers to the front desk staff. The place is very clean, bright and well kept. They have a huge covered playground, and a lounge type area for the older kids to watch movies, relax with a snack, and games to play. When I went to tour the place I was met by the owner and was impressed by how they handled a child meltdown very professionally and calmly. I feel very comfortable sending my son there.
Cross Timbers is amazing!!! We’ve been a part of the Cross Timbers family for 2 years and honestly I wish we came earlier. I have 2 boys that attend and I’m a teacher there. I have a 5 year old attending Pre-K currently. We came from a small center that didn’t have teachers with experience or curriculum, so he was extremely behind. He also has a speech delay and the teachers are extremely patient, he’s learned so much from the wonderful teachers he’s been with. They have so much fun, check out the Facebook page and see for yourself! I also have a 5 month old that is in our infant 1 room, the teachers are amazing and the babies are all extremely loved and cared for. I’ve taught and toured several different schools and Cross Timbers is the nicest and offers an extremely enrich learning environment for children. The teachers have backgrounds in childcare, training via CECPD, and/or early childhood education. The management is also caring and very family oriented. When you walk into Cross Timbers you can see and feel how much love they’ve put into their amazing school. Cross Timbers is not only an amazing place for my sons to grow and learn, it’s an amazing place to teach at.
I have been in the teaching profession for 24 years and have taught at various centers and schools. Crosstimbers is by far the best at keeping the children's safety/needs as a priority. Our management staff is by far the best. Crosstimbers has been my home for 3 years now. My own grandchildren attended this school so if you know me, you know it's the best.
At first the place is amazing the treat you nicely and your child nicely. After my son was there for a couple months (in after school and before school) only 2 days a week we had an incident report given to us about a zipper being caught in his neck. After talking to him in the car ride I heard his side of the story. He said a kid was mad becuase my son told on him, the kid put my son in a head lock, hit him on top the head and then pulled his coat into his neck getting the zipper caught and breaking the skin all while the teacher stood by and didn't see anything. After hearing the teacher explain that she didn't know any of what my son had said she said she would talk to the parents about it. That night I told mama bear and in mama bear fashion she was not happy and brought her issues up to the person in charge the next morning. This person said my son was kicking kids in the privates yesterday and that morning in which we have never heard anything about. She made it seem as if my sons deserved what he got because of said actions. Is it possible sure, but is it coincidental that all of a sudden my kid is doing something when we bring issues forward? You be the judge. In the conversation that was had between them the director decided that we aren't a good fit for each other and the owner dismissed us from the programx all because we voiced our mind on the kid that hurt our son. We have never received a single incident report or a warning from our son until he was beat up by this kid. I am all about boys will be boys and rough house but this kid was mad and decided to take it out on my son and that is not ok. The fact that they decide to protect the attacker instead of the victim is a sickening mentality.
Let me guess, young girls with nothing to do. Cross Timbers is one of the best schools around. Keep up the good work. Cross Timbers. We know what is going on. Management is running things the right way, we see it everyday. The teachers are great , they have gone out of there way during this covid time to keep school going. Things being said couldn't be futher from the truth. Keep your head up.
