As a first-time mom and new to the area, finding the right daycare for my son felt daunting. I didn't know anyone who I could trust to ask for recommendations. Creative Kids was the very first daycare I visited, and after seeing a few others, it quickly became clear that they all fell short in comparison. The daycare itself is immaculate and has everything you’d hope for in a proper childcare setting. But what truly matters—and what became even more evident after my son enrolled—is how much the teachers and administrators genuinely care. They don’t just look after the children; they love them. The teachers are wonderfully observant. They quickly learned my son’s unique cues and needs. I’m so glad I trusted my gut and followed my first impression—choosing Creative Kids was absolutely the right decision for our family.
As an anxious mom, I was hesitant to bring my daughter anywhere being that she's been home with me for 3 years but Creative Kids in Mahopac completely relieved any concerns/anxiety I had since the first day I brought her. They are amazing and my daughter comes home so happy every day chatting about things she's learned and friends she's made. Everyone is so friendly and Nicole is quick with communication which I love. I can't recommend them enough to any parents wondering where they can feel safe to bring their kids. This place is it!
We moved into the area a few months ago and are very happy that we found this center. Everyone is extremely nice, and my son looks forward to going to daycare. He comes home and loves to share what he has learned. Lately, it has been the days of the week. We enjoy receiving photo and video updates, it makes our day!
We have been part of the Creative Kids family for 3 years. Our kids love going to school every day and are welcomed with hugs and smiles. Directors, Jen and Amber have done a wonderful job of creating consistency for students especially during these difficult couple years. They handled Covid seamlessly while keeping their staff and students safe. They also continue to create fun activities and celebrations for the kids. The families look for forward to activities such as pumpkin patches in the fall , leprechaun trap projects and gardening parties as well as silly themed dress up days and ice cream parties . The directors send communication home daily along with weekly newsletters and monthly calendars siting upcoming events. Classrooms have thematic units in which students incorporate various connected read alouds as well as address various learning styles from art, music, tactile, kinesthetic etc. I pulled my kids out of another sought after daycare in the area because I just wasn’t having the same experience that everyone was raving about online. Staff was cold, systems were antiquated and my kids were constantly sick. Switching to Creative Kids was overall a great decision. I feel I can express my needs to the directors and have open lines of communication. Anytime I have ever had an issue it has been resolved immediately with professionalism and discretion. My children are well prepared for kindergarten, knowing all their letters and sounds as well as many sight words . I feel confident every day knowing that my kids are in being well cared for and making friends along the way .
With the pandemic and return to office looming, we were on the lookout for a warm and enriching environment where our 3 year old could finally get some human interaction outside our family and start honing her creativity. I cannot even begin to explain how much we lucked out with Creative Kids. They've taken a girl with some anxiety about being away from home and transformed her into a confident, happy, and fulfilled kiddo that can't wait to go to school and learn. The programming is fantastic, the experiences are varied and catering to both emotional IQ and normal IQ, and the staff is incredibly warm and welcoming. It has become so much her second home that at the end of the day there always comes a play session outside with her friends. I'm legitimately anxious about the day where she'll be too big to attend, but until then gonna soak up every good bit we can.
