Creative Environment Children'S Learning Center

I wanted a gpod 8 months to write thoe review. This would be One of the best daycare around. My son loved coming here. He spent a large part of his developmental time here- almost 1.5 years total. However; when he went through an extremely difficult transitioning period at home that led to some behaviorial concerns, they turned their backs on him and kicked him out. This followed a very strict, unreasonable 2 week probation period during the worst part of his transition at home. This event in turn had an extremely negative effect on my son. If your kid is perfect send them here. If not- inspire in Macedon is taking new people.

When we first toured this daycare we were told that the staff were able to properly attend to a child with learning delays/ special needs. We have come to realize that is not the case at all. My daughter is developmentally delayed and this daycare did not take that into account. We were told my child was having a hard time after waking up from a nap and I quote "She quite literally spit" in the face of one of the helpers. Instead of looking for a way to calm her down or comfort her, they left her sat in the closet in front of the toilet while the 2 helpers had their back turned talking to each other. When I asked why she was left to comfort herself sat on the floor, I was told they didn't want to get spit on. The 2 helpers seem to think my daughter, who is 4, is personally attacking them by spitting and flailing her arms. When I spoke to the director and asked why they were not trying to console her I was told it would be a "violation". They said they can't always be there to console a child that is upset. They refused to provide my child emotional support and instead left her on her own. When I made complaints about the 2 helpers the director said she would "defend her teachers". The children are not worth defending to this director apparently. They are not equipped to handle children who need extra care and support. They are not a learning center. They are baby sitters.

I have nothing bad to say about Creative Environment, they are amazing and underrated! Our son went here after 2 years at Doodlebugs and we could not have asked for a better daycare. All of the staff we interacted with are wonderful and we are so sad to leave them as our son ages up to preschool.
