What Parents Say
Country Sunshine Children's Center receives nearly universal praise from parents, with most highlighting the caring staff, clean facility, and strong leadership under director Jan since the 1980s. However, one parent reported a serious incident involving their infant daughter sustaining a black eye, inconsistent explanations from staff, and concerning supervision practices revealed in security footage, with the center providing an inadequate response.
This daycare is amazing. My child was always happy. They fed her breakfast before school an made sure she was picked up after school. They kept her engaged in activities an everyone there seemed to enjoy their jobs. I feel blessed to have found such a great place to send my little one.
I cannot say enough good things about Country Sunshine. The facility is clean, warm and welcoming. The staff/teachers are so trustworthy and reliable which doesn’t surprise me as the owners are the exact same. Ms. Jan is great! She is so understanding and loves all the children with her whole heart.
This has been the best place for my girls to grow and learn. Jan is amazing and loves the children like her own (and has since she opened CSCC in the 80s!). The teachers are fantastic with very low turnover. We could not be happier sending our children there day after day. My 5-year-old is also extremely prepared for K.
We love sending our kids to CSCC! The staff is amazing and have so much love and support for each child. The kids are kind and respectful and the families at this center are very friendly. My kids have learned so much, and I love that as teachers prepare the kids for K they teach through play and allow the kids to explore.
My daughter was at this daycare for a week. The first day there, she recieved a black eye. We were not told until pick up and were given half a story. We spoke with the director and both teachers. They could not provide a consistent reason why she had the injury. 3 weeks post incident we were able to see the security footage. The footage did not match at all the story we were given. We also saw other concerning things in the video, including her being put in a high chair and left for 30 minutes without a bottle. She also fell asleep in the chair and the workers woke her up and left her there. She was not put down for a nap afterwards either. When we brought up the concerns, we were told we just didn't know the teachers well enough and that everything was perfectly in order. We were not given a genuine apology and my daughter was repeatedly blamed, despite being an infant. This place came highly reccommended. Wildly disappointed and shocked at the response and lack of communication.
