What Parents Say
Country Club Learning & Development Center receives mixed reviews. Positive reviews praise the small, home-like environment, caring staff, and child development activities. Negative reviews cite concerns about chemical safety practices, unprofessional operations (late openings/early closings), perceived staff indifference, and child injuries.
I am sad that people leave their kids in this kind of place. I am not speaking negatively of the staff because first, they took the time to give us a tour and second, my son has never gone there for care. I am speaking negatively of the environment itself. As soon as I walked in, the smell of bleach penetrated the air. Instant headache. And people leave their children around these chemicals ALL DAY. If you read ANY bottle of bleach, it will tell you to use ONLY in well ventilated areas and with a window open. It will also tell you KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN!!! They were mopping just feet away from the youngest children in the facility! There was also a woman mopping the floor around the rug that a child was still sitting on with bleach. Yay for no germs but my god do you even know how terrible that stuff is to breathe in? And these are small innocent, children who have no say in any of it! Parents, please know what you’re allowing your child to be around!
Home Away from Home. This daycare / learning center has been like keeping Owen in the home except it's a different home. It has a small feel to it which is better than the large fluorescent light concrete walls of some daycares. The children all seem happy, well-treated, worked with using puzzles, books, and learning toys. The playground is appropriately sized for the 1-5 year olds which is what this school accepts. I was very happy to have found this center. The staff is very nice and professional.
This place is completely unprofessional. Opens late, inconveniencing parents. Then closes early for any reason they can come up with. After being told they were closing at noon, then they decided since they only had 5 kids they would just make parents come pick kids up at 10. What about the money they are being paid…will they refund the parents? NOPE. Free money. They find any and every reason to send kids home. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE
My daughter and son attended here. At first it seemed very nice. The teachers appeared caring and like they wanted to be there. Well that was the first day just the tour. When going back my son had a hard time adjusting. He would cry when I would leave and I thought it was just cause he's a mommas boy and he misses me. After about a week he adjusted well. But every time I would go in rather it be dropping my kids off or picking them up there would be kids crying non stop. They hardly talked to the kids just AT them. My kids have attended since August 2018 until April 2019 so I must have trusted them that much. If I felt the slightest hint something was wrong I don't hesitate to remove my kids from any daycare.! And I've always taught my kids right and wrong front adult or kid. We have a great communication for them to only be 4 and 5. Anyways the kids noses would always be running and wouldn't give them a tissue. someone was always crying.the teachers looked so annoyed you can tell when one is having a bad day. Yea they try to FAKE a smile but I know when its forced. I've always felt automatically judged by them because I am a younger single mom. Only 26 but I excused that.as long as they treated my kids like I would. That's all I ask and that's with LOVE. Your a teacher, kids are with you 5 times out the week. If you don't like kids why be a teacher? Specifically speaking Ms Christina. I felt like she would play nice but deep down she was somewhat racist and she couldn't stand kids. Now maybe that's over stepping or judging her myself. But I'm just going off the vibe she puts out. Then the director MRS Taylor. You can tell she apparently just wants the money. She been in child care since 92' you would think her compassion would be real. But no. When I would talk to her she would have a stank look on and I can tell in the back of her mind she was thinking negative about me. The ONLY compassionate teacher I've met was the infant' teacher. She had the biggest smile and always greeted my kids. And they weren't even in her class. She'd always give my daughter a hug and say I love you bye my sweet girl. Every one else clearly don't even want to be around the kids their teaching. Projects seemed rushed because they don't really want to sit down one on one to help a child they'll just make themselves. Take them outside in cold weather. My son has a behavior problem that we are working on. And I could see it was challenging his teacher. We worked out ways and its improved. So they have been a little understanding with that. As time went on and he changed classrooms to with his sister I wasn't hearing anything about behavior at all. And also I asked if they'd call me ANYTIME something was to happen no matter how small. I do feel like some parts on their side of certain stories were left out. I'd always ask his sister as well to know what really happened. I know my son and when something's wrong,if he's at fault or not. So I don't give a damn what it is someone tell me i get all sides then go for what I know. I feel like they didnt like my son after a while or maybe never have. I would see just how they'd look when we came in. Towards the last week of them attending there my son got sick. Which this isn't the first time. Their excuse is it's the stomach bug. Okay well I don't know if I was being paranoid or if they had something to do with that. Needless to say I had to take my son to the ER and kept him home that Friday. When we returned to school Monday I asked what he'd ate and if complained about his stomach she said no. But just her attitude was like she didnt care at all. After picking my kids up . While there they proceeded to tell me how my son broke a radio they'd just gotten and hit a teacher. My question why not Call me like I ASKED. So from there I knew this was their last day rather they remove him or I do it myself.I knew it was their plan to remove him from their care. That was the last day my kids ever seen that place. If you want caring teachers Aviod HERE!
DO NOT LEAVE YOUR BABIES HERE! My 1 yr old son only attended here for a month and he has had 3-4 injuries. When you ask anyone that works there about it they never know what’s going on. THIS DAYCARE IS THE WORST AND THEY DO NOT LOOK AFTER THE CHILDREN! I wish this place would shut down!
