Community Lutheran Church

It is one thing to say what you are going to do, and another when you find a place that truly does it. CLC is not only the most open and warming church I have ever been to, but I love the fact that the church takes its mission seriously. Not trying to solve all the worlds problems, CLC works within the community in a variety of ways to present and support the community. Anything from raising money for different charities, to reaching out into the community to invite people to join us. The services are open and accepting of all and the music is amazing. During COVID, everything is being done online, although they did have parking lot services during the warmer season. All of my kids went through the children's education program and I have to say I am very satisfied. With the way they have the kids ask questions, get involved, and challenge what they hear to seek out a deeper level of meaning behind what they hear. They are simply not expected to believe as much as they are encouraged to discover.

Community Lutheran Church is the most welcoming church and the warmest, friendliest and caring church family I've ever belonged to. The members of our church actually strive to live the teachings of Jesus each and every day of their lives. The most commonly heard comment of new members is how welcoming our congregation is. Our church mission is: Weloming others, growing in grace, sharing in Christ's love. We mean it!

This is a fantastic & welcoming church that is open to all members of the community, regardless of race, ethnicity, etc. They have multiple supporting ministries depending on your interest (gardening, quilting, financial, etc.). They also have a Stephen Ministry capability for people going through tough times. One of the jewels of the local Sterling neighborhood.

0 stars! A Homeless man walks into this church seeking help to better his life & the world he see around him! He’s been taught when you need help to turn to GOD he’ll help you. So I turned to what I thought would be his children, only to get reminded why I haven’t been to any CHURCH IN 15+ YEARS. I listened to this WOLF IN SHEEPS CLOTHING talk about helping the less fortunate. (The Lamb, & Goats at GOD's side) Once the service was done I asked this preacher to read the book I had written to help change the world for the better, hoping she’d at least say let me talk to the congregation. But no! She didn’t even want to help me connect with the ones they fund to treat the homeless like criminals, instead of citizens who needs help to get back on their feet. She just wanted me out the door! Did JESUS just walk around preaching our GOD's word alone, or did he practice what he preached too? Today Preacher’s only talk about what’s in the GOOD BOOK or what was on HBO, Show Time, etc. last night instead! When faced with showing what they taught, they do just like the american government! State one thing while doing another! This is what Jesus warned us about! Teachers (preachers) Wolfs in sheep’s clothing. The homeless are better teachers of GOD words, because we practice what your preachers teach! This church isn't something I'd want to put my faith in, let alone have the wolf devour my soul, along with their congregation! I'm a child of GOD! & will be glade when he releases me from this earth, so i won't be in pain any longer, or suffer from how bad the world is becoming!

Was a lovely warm atmosphere, church family was very welcoming. Was there for christening of a family member and the whole service that day was really uplifting and beautiful.
