What Parents Say
Parents consistently praise Community Learning Center for its warm, nurturing environment and dedicated staff who treat children with genuine care and attention. The center is noted for excellent communication, personalized care, and educational development. However, some concern is raised about recent staff turnover and retention.
Coming from a daycare center where the employees were mistreated, not taken care of by their employers, etc. it was SO refreshing to come to Comstock Learning Center and actually feel like a “home”. The staff, families, and students are so helpful and supportive in anything and everything you might need! They have been a great help in this transition for me, and I can’t wait to grow even more as an educator through working here!
I personally love this center and it’s due to the staff that is there! I have had all five of my children attend over the last three years and have had an overall great experience. Unfortunately most of the dedicated staff that has been there for that duration has began to leave the center. I wish the staff got more appreciation for their dedication to our children there. Routines and familiar loving faces are needed for our kids! This year alone I have seen four almost five of the staff leave for better opportunities presented. We miss Brandi, Emily, and our Miss Sammy will soon be gone as well! I hope their owner takes into consideration giving these ladies what they are worth as the many other also deserve more! These staff member make this center great!
I want to share my experience with Comstock Community Learning Center. Our journey with CLC began in 2018 when my oldest child enrolled, and it continued until 2023 with our youngest. The care and support provided have been nothing short of outstanding. One standout feature of CLC is the personal touch extended by the dedicated staff. It's truly heartening to note that our children were not just faces in a crowd, but known by name to every staff member, including teachers from other classrooms. This personalized attention created a warm and nurturing environment that made us feel like part of a caring community. Communication was exemplary at CLC, with the staff consistently keeping us well-informed about any issues or health concerns. This level of transparency was especially crucial during those early days when entrusting our children to daycare was a significant adjustment. As a new mom, sending my kids to daycare was a challenging experience, but Comstock Community Learning Center made it much easier with the love and care they showed our two children. The genuine affection displayed by the staff, particularly from teachers like Ms. Sara (Sara Preston), Ms. Sammy (Samantha Smith), and Ms. MJ (Mary Jane Loudermelt), played a pivotal role in making our children feel secure and happy. The fact that our children formed strong bonds with their teachers is evident in their reluctance to leave the daycare each day—an undeniable sign of the positive environment they've cultivated. Special appreciation goes to Ms. Brandi (Brandi Emmons) at the front desk. Her warm and welcoming demeanor made our early morning drop-offs a breeze. Ms. Brandi consistently demonstrated a willingness to assist with scheduling and any issues, showcasing a commitment to excellent customer service. In conclusion, our family feels incredibly fortunate to have been part of the Comstock Community Learning Center. The care, attention, and genuine love provided by the staff have made a lasting impact on our children's early years. We wholeheartedly recommend CLC to any parents seeking a nurturing environment where their children can thrive.
I HIGHLY recommend the Comstock Community Learning Center! my 2 year old son has been going there for almost 2 years and my 3 month old started when he was 6 weeks old. Penny was my sons first teacher in the infant room when he first started, and the moment Immediately felt comfortable leaving him there with them. 2 years later and every one of the staff feels like family to me and my 3 kids, including my 7 year old daughter who goes doesn't even attend their center due to going to school in another district. The ladies are pleasant to speak to every morning at drop off and every evening at pick up. When you're in need for whatever reason they will go far beyond out of their way to help you with whatever it is. I cannot count how many times me being a single mom of 3 kids, has struggled the past couple of years whether its food, clothes, or having someone there to get the kids when I have to stay over at the office. They all always find a way to help me and so many other families whos children attend this center. there has been so many times that I have not been able to pay exactly on time but Linda in billing and Robin have done everything to be patient with me. Since going to this learning center my 2 year old can count to at least 10 he knows his ABC's sign language he even know how to add small numbers and tries to read. He speaks perfect sentences for only 2 years old and his grammar and vocabulary amazes me. Right now they along with myself are working on potty training, which he pottied in the toilet all by himself 4 times in 1 day, the next morning he woke up and told me he had to pee, and sat his buns right on his seat and went. When a problem occurs they are fast to fix this issue. Robin called me late June early May reporting that my 2 year old was left outside ( in a gated playground )by a staff member. it was for a couple minutes and She was extremely apologetic you could tell in her voice how awful she felt. When I came to pick him up that day I had 3 staff members approach me about what had happened and they were all furious with what had happened. They all apologized for what that one staff member did and they have gone above and beyond to make sure my son along with the rest of the children are well watched and taken care of. The worker who left him outside no longer works there and it was taken care of immediately. I have not had a single issue with them since, and I Still wouldn't trust anyone else with my children than the ladies that watch mine at this center. It's more than a job and a paycheck to them it's their passion. Words cannot describe how thankful I am for every single one of them from the desk receptionist to the teachers and especially to Santana and Robin. I would be completely lost without these ladies.
Great staff and place to send your kiddos. All four of my littles were well taken care of and loved here.
