CCC is a gift of an organization, and a massive benefit to our community. We started out attending the free playgroups and then were able to also attend the Responsive Caregivers parenting class, and have made it one of our main places to donate clothes and gear for their free clothing closet. Across the board, it's full of wonderful, willing people with incredibly helpful information. As a mom feel so lucky to have been able to discover CCC and learn from their team, in addition to having heaps of fun with my kids at their playgroups and events!
Community Children's Center is such a phenomenal family resource for Douglas County. As they continue to grow and view their projects through an equity lens, they consistently provide vital services for the early childhood community. Just a small sample of these include the Early Childhood Clothing Closet, the Book Nook, and their Grow and Go program. Perhaps their largest project, the soon-to-be finished Family Resource Center, has blown me away with all the resources it offers. Nothing is missed with this organization, and I am so thrilled they're right here in Douglas County.
CCC is an incredible organization with an amazing staff who genuinely cares about the families in our community. The events that they host for families with young children are wonderful, & they have an abundance of resources to offer & share with those who are in need/looking for them. I truly can’t say enough good things about this organization & what they offer to Douglas county residents!
The CCC is a fantastic resource for famiies in our community. My husband and I took a really good parenting class here they porivded dinner and childcare while we took the class. We also have participated in the Go and Grow play groups on Thursday mornings, my kids have a blast! They also have a clothes closet for anyone who needs it, no questions asked 100% free. I have gotten some clothes for my kids there and have donated a bunch of kids clothes and maternity clothes. All in all this is a fantistic resource for the lawrence community. I high recomend ALL families using this resource. Build your village!
Grow & Go is amazing My two son love it Oldest son has autism ( look calm and normal to other children ) Younger son love play with children and friendly Ms Green and Ms Lawrence is awesome clothes closet what I need Both help me for everything what I need , very important For class Responsive Careciving I loved it , I m glad they bring ASL interpreter for me , new friend Name Chelsea H is awesome I feel comfortable with CCC Thank you so much for everything Please stay safe Cherokee, Waya & Wesa
