This is a review of the college’s nursing program. Pros: Tuition is affordable, and the program is fairly easy to get into. Cons: Instructors do not adequately teach practical nursing skills, and the administration enforces rules inconsistently, so students never know what will get them in trouble. Expectations change without notice. There also seems to be more focus on maintaining high pass rates than on ensuring students are actually competent. Students should also know that the program schedules “mandatory” activities outside normal lecture and clinical days and expects full attendance. Although the director claims her door is always open, students are criticized for giving feedback, which creates an environment where people are afraid to speak up. She also seems to believe she can control what students post on social media, which is inappropriate and concerning. Overall, the program was a major disappointment. While I don’t have another program to compare it to, the lack of structure, transparency, and meaningful skills training made the experience unnecessarily stressful and frustrating.

I only took two accounting night classes here, and I frequented the gym for about a year, but I thought it was a good value and I really enjoyed my instructors. They made going back to school quite comfortable after a seven-year absence.
